Weird... my portal was completely normal earlier today when you guys were having issues, and now I am seeing "Internal Server Error" while trying to sign into mine. Since ya'll are getting IIs at this exact time, maybe they are actually updating them? 🙏

For the Wayne MMI, can we ask questions during our 5-minute response? Or are we expected to just talk for 5 minutes?

My MMI was ethical questions only, nothing about my app, so there wasn’t anything to ask questions about. I gave my responses within ~2 minutes and my interviewers had follow up questions for each scenario. My first scenario I didn’t know how long I was supposed to be talking for and my interviewer cut me off to ask a follow up 😭 so be prepared for them to ask questions based off of your responses.

Oh okay, I was worried I had to give my answer for 5min😅Makes sense why its 5-minutes. Thank you!

i havent received any MD IIs yet...anybody else in the same boat as me? feeling the stress creeping in LOL
I'm in the same boat dude... hoping the best for all of us! We've all dedicated so much to this career path that something good is bound to happen. Just keep your head down and keep grinding for the eventual IIs. I also haven't received any IIs yet, but I've chosen to take on a positive perspective - I just see this as extra time for me to prepare for when they eventually do come.

No problem. Just keep in mind that you could go the entire month of October without any IIs, and then suddenly get 3 in November, followed by a few others scattered between December-March. Happens to a lot of people. Med schools like to take their time, and it is important to stay patiently optimistic!

Hey guys, M2 at Wayne just popping by in case anyone has any questions! Also a part of the 3-year program so if you ever have any questions about that or want more info, more than happy to share what I know!

Also just wanted to say that I didn’t get my first interview until mid-October and didn’t get invited to interview here until almost December and it still worked out. Don’t get discouraged!

Did you ever send update letters before getting interviews?

What is the secret to getting in here?

When do they typically send out rejections, at the end of the year or ongoing?

How did you decide to pursue the 3-year program? I am **ahem** old, and have been working in the OR for over a decade, and know I love surgery and anesthesia, but also am not opposed to exploring other areas of medicine (although I know I absolutely love the OR environment). Do you get any chance to explore anything else? If you change your mind, will you go into the 4-year?

Yes, definitely time to explore other stuff just like everyone else. Our curriculum is basically the exact same as our 4-yr classmates (including for M3), so you can still definitely shadow, rotate, and do research in other specialties if you want! If you change your mind, you just go back to the 4-year cohort, which is really easy since our curriculum is so similar to theirs!

Thanks for that!!

How is the vibe of the school? I met some reps last year at the UC Davis Pre Health conference and absolutely loved the vibe I got from them. It sent WSU to the top of my list pretty fast. Is it a super collaborative environment? How is having such a large class size?

(I'm asking these questions and haven't even heard from them since I submitted my secondary, so this is all delusion talking haha 🤡)

“We still have a few opportunities available for you to join a Warrior M.D. tour” how about a few opportunities for an interview? I don’t have an issue communicating some activities but I’m tempted to reply and ask for only admissions related emails to be sent to me.
I'm feeling the same way about these emails. I will take a rejection at this point, just want the process to be over with. 🤣

Good vibes! Honestly, I’m OOS, and even after getting the A here I initially didn’t have it super high on the list. What changed it for me was actually meeting some of the M1s and M2s, and talking to other admitted students on a tour.

Everyone is extremely nice and collaborative. Upperclassman are also really good for advice/mentorship, particularly the M2s(we have the most “free time “lol). Was definitely the best vibes out of all the schools I toured. I strongly recommend touring as many schools as you can later in the cycle if you’re trying to decide between multiple options!

The class is big, but honestly they split the class in half or smaller for most activities, so it’s pretty rare to have the entire class in the building at the same time outside of exams and the occasional in-person lecture.

thanks for the insightful info! do you have any insights into financial aid for OOS? asking b/c the in-state vs. OOS tuition difference is kinda high
