Hey guys! Congrats on your acceptance, and I look forward to meeting you soon! I think it's best if we discuss post-acceptance stuff here out of respect for those still waiting (we all know how much that sucks).

Our acceptance says we have to respond in writing does that mean to the email or in letter form? I plan to stop by to drop off my deposit tomorrow but can I just respond to the email and say I would like to accept?

I think you can just email them (because that was fine for all the forms) but I would call to make sure. Also, if you are going to stop by to drop off the deposit, you could just have one sentence written and signed saying "I accept the offer to be part of the Morehouse School of Medicine class of 2019" or something like that and give it to them then. That's all I wrote, and then I put it in the letter with my deposit. They confirmed my deposit's arrival today 🙂

So I live about 40 minutes away if traffic isn't bad (I'm from Peachtree City), and I'm trying to decide if I should commute or get an apartment close to campus. Is anyone else in this situation that has some insight? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Totally copy and pasted that from the other thread out of hopes a current student joins this thread and enlighten me...

I live about 40 minutes away as well, on good days. On bad days it can take 1hr+. And early morning commutes are almost always 50 minutes or more. I plan to move closer. I did the whole commute thing for undergrad and do not think I want to do it all over again. I would prefer living 10-15 minutes away for convenience.

Thanks! I'm going to call tomorrow and try to get an idea of what our schedules will be like to help with the decision. If we are starting early most days, I'll definitely look for a place near campus (though I'll probably look for a place near campus anyways)
