Anyone got lazy and not do the optional essay and get an interview? I really wanna submit it now, but I'm working all week next week and won't have time to thoughtfully write an essay...
513 MCAT/~3.5 GPA, non-trad (career changer), OOS but ties to NJ. Been 14 weeks since I was complete, no word from them since.how long after submitting secondaries did everyone wait for a decision on interviewing?
I was complete in mid july and just got an interview today! 3 monthshow long after submitting secondaries did everyone wait for a decision on interviewing?
that makes me feel a little bit better lolI was complete in mid july and just got an interview today! 3 months
just because i have been waiting for about a month nowthat makes me feel a little bit better lol

For those that have interviewed, can you provide some tips?

Definitely try to relax and be genuine. be able to answer all standard interview questions. my interviewer was very laid back so i chose not to oversell myself (actually didnt sell at all). it worked 🙂 i think Rowan really wants a person who is not overconfident or arrogant, but well rounded and simply real. As a DO there is an emphasis on connecting with patients; you should convey your ability to do that in the interview. For those that have interviewed, can you provide some tips?
October 1 Interview as well-Waitlisted 🙁Oct 1st interviewer... patiently waiting and super hopeful!
Congrats to everyone accepted!
Yes I spoke with Dean Watkins I thinkthey've finished up the October 1 interviews ( (but not 100% sure) I never got the call so I called them and it was indeed a lovely waitlist letter coming via the dreadfully slow snail mail. They also said they won't know if there's going to be ahold list and a waitlist or just the waitlist until they finish interviewing.Hello everyone!
Has anyone from October 1 been notified of being waitlisted or put on hold?
Anyone who interviewed in the AM session, do you get out at 1pm generally? I'm an OOS applicant flying into PA to drive to NJ and I need to fly back the same day, but I am unsure of when to book my flight (don't want to cut it too close.) Thank you!
You should definitely call them. I almost did before getting a letter from them.Anyone from the Sept 15th interview still waiting to hear back something? And if so, have you talked to the admissions office about when you would hear back?

email April Burton or even Dean Watkins...they always seem to answer me quickly!
Does this mean that those who submitted their secondaries in September should expect to hear something in November?Phone call finally went through!
If I remember correctly, they said that they're still finishing the review for applications that were completed (with secondaries) in August.
yes! complete early july and just got an II this weekAnyone get passed over initially for an II then end up receiving one? For example complete July/early Aug
Was that before II or after?Placed on the alternate list. Guess it's the same as the waitlist.
After, came in the mail just now.Was that before II or after?

Probably twice as many, accept about 400I know they matriculate about 186 students but does anyone know how many they accept in total?
Mine was a one-on-one; however, I remember in my pre-interview confirmation call they said that it could be one-on-one or two-on-one. I also have heard that 3rd and 4th years sometimes conduct interviews. Hope this helps! What is the interview like here ? A single one on one, professor + med student, multiple short interviews?
Thank you so much for your reply. Very helpful! Congrats on your acceptance, awesome school! It was open-file and very conversational. Day starts out with a summary of the school, curriculum, financial aid etc etc and then when it is time for your interview you go while others wait in the room snacking and chatting with current students. There was a student tour right after. I think it lasted till about 12pm or so but we got there early. They had multiple interviewers but for each student, it was one on one and seemed to last about 30 mins. Fantastic faculty and atmosphere. Not sure if this is the norm but I heard back one week later, my interviewer called himself.

For me it was about 2 weeks, but for others it was much longer (more than a month or 2).People who interviewed already, did it take exactly 2 weeks to hear back or was it longer/shorter?
