Just for some words of encouragement: (sorry if this is a little long)
Although they probably have given most (not all) acceptances out, I know of someone who interviewed at the end of February and got in about 2 weeks ago (very quick turnaround time).
Just a few things to keep in mind. Although the economy sucks and a lot of people will accept their admission to UNC for financial reasons, do remember that just because UNC has offered all of its spots, does not mean that all of those people will attend UNC. A significant number of people will be waiting until financial aid packages come out in April to see if they are offered any money from other schools that they may have acceptances for. I know that seems like a long time to wait (or keep waiting) but that's just the way it is.
If you get accepted, that's awesome! If you get waitlisted, don't get discouraged because you could get off at any time. At the same time, if you don't get off the waitlist, find out what you need to improve and DO IT for next year. Just because you got waitlisted this year doesn't mean you'll get in next year. I know a few people who got waitlisted and then rejected the following year because they didn't make significant improvements.
At the same time, if you get rejected...DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO. Pursuing medicine is a marathon. If you have to take a year off, it really is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, although it may seem like the end of the world at the time. I have taken two years off since graduating and it was probably one of the best decisions of my life (although it was unplanned). You will mature a great deal in a year when you are not in school and on your own.
All that being said, good luck to everyone waiting. I hope you all get in, but if you don't, keep your chin up and keep on working. It will happen eventually. I've said it many times before on these boards: If you want to be a physician(or anything else), YOU are the only person that can prevent you from getting there.
