Aww, don't say that. Of course it's better to submit earlier, but it doesn't mean that you have no chance. Keep in mind that sometimes people who signed up for interviews later in the season get tired of interviewing and start cancelling. So some of those interview spots will open up again later.

Which brings up a good point: for people who know that they don't want to attend some of their interviews (here or at other schools), don't wait until the last minute to cancel. Someone else is hoping against hope to get that interview spot that you don't want. So please cancel early enough to give them a chance.

Decisions for 10/16 interviews are up. I got in! I'm so stoked! First acceptance.

Congrats everyone! Yeah, I interviewed 10/19 and they haven't posted mine yet either. Got my heart beating so hard when I read the posts above and then nothing...at least yet. I'm gonna give myself a heart attack if I keep checking (but will keep checking every 5 seconds anyway haha). Good luck everyone! :luck:

Thats so weird, if it took 2 weeks for you guys, I wonder why they told my group that we would have it this week?

I think the decide in batches. So every three weeks they hold a meeting and go over all of the interviewees for the past three weeks. Also, it sounds like they post acceptances first.

I think 10/19 people just happened to interview right after an adcom meeting so a range of interview dates all got reviewed at the next meeting. Or so that's what I tell myself 🙂

hahaha, unfortunately I think my skills are limited to knowing when the decisions come out, not what they are. 🙂 i'm still honing my abilities, lol.
i have a feeling i'm screwed though, lol
 
Shoot, On Hold 🙁 🙁 Anyone know if you still have a shot if you get hold? How does the hold work at case?

does anyone know if case actually rejects people post-interview? or is it just accepted or put on hold? and does anyone know if people on hold are ever actually accepted before march?
 
Damn, got put on hold. Well, at least they liked me enough to not go ahead and reject me. Hopefully I will still hear good news later on. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
 
Hello all (and perhaps more specifically CCLCMer),

I know it has been said numerous times that CCLCM does not use iapply for decisions. Does that also apply for withdrawals? I decided to beat my impending rejection to the punch and sent them my notice of withdrawal through the medium provided on iapply. Is there a alternate/better way to do this?

anyways, someone last yr said that about 1/3 of the class are people accepted right away and the other 2/3 are people off the hold list. so don't lose hope, but also don't expect to hear anything for a long time.

Really? I think your application is pretty strong. Anyway, unless you don't actually want to go there, any chance is better than no chance.

Another factor to keep in mind is that they only accept enough people throughout the interview season to fill their class. They want interview seats open for the entire interview season so no one is interviewing for a wait-list. Conversely, most private schools over accept during the interview season because they know people will withdraw.
 
Ugggh I still have no iapply status update (10/27 interview). What's the deal Case?

Is Jan or Feb before interviews end a good time to send one? I was thinking about emailing Christian Essman a letter of intent. I definitely don't want to give up on Case.

It is my (possibly flawed) understanding that the letters/emails you send end up getting printed out, put into your paper file, and reviewed whenever you guys come up for review again. No idea what happens in between you hitting send and it getting printed, though. So, whenever is probably ok, though if you really, really love us earlier may (or may not) be of benefit to you. If it isn't a benefit, at least you've got it on record and don't have to worry about it for a while.👍

Disclaimer: I have no idea how we handle post-interview rejections.

General observation: people who get rejected tend to either not post on SDN at all, or post after they've accepted it.
 
I still haven't heard anything. Refreshing e-mail is like the most boring, yet most suspenseful activity ever.

If I was waiting on CCLCM (which I am, but not for today), I'd be refreshing for a while :laugh:.
