Any idea when the waitlist will be finalized and we will find out where we stand?
Any idea when the waitlist will be finalized and we will find out where we stand?
was it via email?
I just got a CCLCM revisit invitation! 😍
yeah i think thats correctdoes your invite to the revisit mean that you are highly ranked on the waitlist? and if we didn't get such an email then we're pretty low on the waitlist or rejected...
no revisit invite here, boo 🙁
Similarly no 2nd look invite 🙁
yeah no 2nd look invite either..and i was placed on high hold...what a disappointing and depressing cycle this has been so far for me..
same here dude, im on like 7 waitlists...watch me not get off any of them 🙁
Just got the call from Dean Franco. I'm in! This is going to highly complicate my decision. Interviewed in early Jan. and put on high hold after the second committee meeting.
Looking forward to 2nd look.
Interesting... b/c someone just posted that they got the email and then posted that they got a call from Dean Franco...
I just got a CCLCM revisit invitation! 😍
I didn't actually get accepted, but I figure they didn't reject me. 🙂 Really excited to see all of you again - I'll be there for the UP second look, too! I assume this means they're pretty much done making the waitlist.

Looking forward to 2nd look.
I got the email in the afternoon yesterday and the call about an hour ago.
I am a perfect example of someone who thought they had no chance, then all of a sudden my fortunes changed. So don't give up hope yet if you are waitlisted.
soo!! I want to look at this on a positive note.
Is it possible that the people who received 2nd look invites yesterday were ACCEPTED and they have not yet compiled a high wait list
hey man, are you still on the waitlist or did you get a call from dean franco too?
Wow, you've got some fabulous choices. Is location going to be a major factor for you, with Columbia and Penn on your list?
Poking my head back in here...
I am still a little confused about the Hold vs Waitlist (UP)...
Does the UP already HAVE a waitlist, is anyone here already waitlisted?
Or should I interpret that email "we do anticipate that some will likely be made from our alternate list this spring; at the end of the month, we will invite some applicants from the "hold" pool to be on this alternate list."
as that they will CREATE a waitlist at the end of March, and people will be pulled from the Hold list in order to make it?
I think my head would be exploding if I didn't have that acceptance letter in my pocket from KU, but my lingering crush on Case still burns on... >_<;
😱....😀!!! Yes, good luck!!! May we be #1 and #2 on the list!!!I believe that no waitlist has yet been created and that at the end of March Dr. Mehta and Christian will re-review all hold applicants to decide whether they should be placed on the wait list or rejected. So the wait list will be created from the pool of hold applicants. Good luck to us both! 👍

It appears that the waitlist has been finished, but I can't tell you when the letters will be sent out.Any idea when the waitlist will be finalized and we will find out where we stand?
Congrats, looking forward to seeing you again. 🙂I just got a CCLCM revisit invitation! 😍

No, some people at the top of the waitlist are also being invited to the second look.Doesn't that mean you got accepted? I wouldn't think they'd send revisit invites to everyone.
Yes, the waitlisted people who got invites to second look are in the top group.does your invite to the revisit mean that you are highly ranked on the waitlist? and if we didn't get such an email then we're pretty low on the waitlist or rejected...

No. There was one empty seat. Apparently, it was filled by call8675309.soo!! I want to look at this on a positive note.

It's way too soon to give up hope, pelliper. A lot of waitlist movement doesn't happen until after May 15, when people who have multiple acceptances have to start withdrawing from most of their schools. After that, the waitlists will start moving. Good luck, hope you get good news soon.same here dude, im on like 7 waitlists...watch me not get off any of them 🙁

That's the Case-wide list, not just UP. Joe sent it to us, too--I'll copy and paste it in.Impressive, as always! 😀
edit: UP match list was also just released, but I'm so not going to do all that editing via phone.![]()
I've read all the posts about the waitlist being complete and all acceptances given out and I was just wondering if there were others who still haven't heard back post-interview. I interviewed mid Feb and haven't been notified at all. I assume because I didn't get a phone call I haven't been accepted outright, but I'm hoping to get a spot on the waitlist. Do you think my letter got lost in the mail? Do they e-mail rejections? Should I call or just be more patient? Thanks for the advice and congratulations to the M5's. 🙂
Thanks for sharing the matchlist. I see that only three people entered Anesthesiology this year. Is that pretty reflective of how much medical students in general are interested in going into Anesthesiology these days? I've always heard how popular that specialty has been for a long time, so I was surprised to see only three people went into it.

I am not sure whether they've sent the letters out yet. I'll see if I can find out next week when they're planning to send them. It should be soon though.I've read all the posts about the waitlist being complete and all acceptances given out and I was just wondering if there were others who still haven't heard back post-interview. I interviewed mid Feb and haven't been notified at all. I assume because I didn't get a phone call I haven't been accepted outright, but I'm hoping to get a spot on the waitlist. Exactly.I interviewed back in the end of January and have not received any news on my status either. Most likely we will be getting a letter in the mail soon letting us know if we are waitlisted or rejected (boo). At least there is still the chance that we could have made the waitlist...
Well, I just copied and pasted each specialty from the email that Joe (the registrar) sent to us, so it's not like I typed it all up from scratch. But you're welcome. 🙂Thank you CCLCMer for typing all that up.
No, I think anesthesiology is still pretty popular. It just depends on what the people who graduate that year want to do. Evidently, this year everyone wanted to go into rads. Thanks for sharing the matchlist. I see that only three people entered Anesthesiology this year. Is that pretty reflective of how much medical students in general are interested in going into Anesthesiology these days? I've always heard how popular that specialty has been for a long time, so I was surprised to see only three people went into it.
Exactly.I wouldn't say this list is indicative of a shift away from anesthesiology. You have to remember that every year of students is made up of different people with different interests, so the match fluctuates.
Well, we'll do our best to show them up next year. 😉That's one hell of a match list! I've never seen so many supercompetitive matches at any school CCLCMer 👍
Well, we'll do our best to show them up next year. 😉
Exciting and also a bit nervewracking. The stakes are a lot higher at this stage than they are at the med school app stage.Heh, it must be way more exciting to see the process knowing that you'll be the ones opening the envelopes the next year. 😀
When I went to second look, I did not wear a suit, although I seem to remember that some people did. But I think a shirt and tie would be fine. I also seem to remember the UP second look being more casual than the CCLCM second look, but you should probably call their office to confirm. How should we dress for the second looks? For CCLCM, is "business attire" our interview suit or more business casual? For the UP, I don't think my confirmation says anything about Friday. Thanks!
thats a bummer. where are you?Received my letter in the mail today.. no good news here.
Good luck to everyone else who is waiting to hear back! Hope you get waitlisted 🙂
Sorry. 🙁Received my letter in the mail today.. no good news here.
The UP does use iapply to report their decisions. You should check your status. How do UP decisions get delivered? iapply status change or snail mail?
So... if I'm going to be busy the week of Case's second look... is it possible to ask the office if I could come up on a Friday or something, sit in on classes and have my own 'mini' second look? I'm not exactly sure how these things work... but if there are documents talked about/passed out at second look, will those be available even if I didn't attend?
