Just received an interview for the UP program - scheduled for Feb 8th! Totally unexpected (especially because I was not complete until Dec 7th). Are there still spots open/when does Case interview until?
In Cleveland now...being from Texas I am totally not used to so much snow 😛
I'm pretty sure it has snowed some amount every single day since at least new years eve.
If you were deferred after interview, when do you get re-evaluated?
Do we get the result by end of Jan or do we have to wait until march when most accepted ppl decide whether they will attend or withdraw the acceptance?
Oh, it has.😳
with so much snow, is there by chance good mountains around as well for skiing?
Well, there is the ever-popular Mount Cleveland...

I'm going to go ahead and jinx it and say that it hasn't snowed yet today, and the sun is out.
Bring it, mother nature!
I'm in the same boat as you. As far as I know they only START reviewing holds in January. Which, to me, means that it could be a long time before they get to your file or mine, especially if they review holds in chronological order.
This is, however, outright speculation on my part, with a goodly portion of not-getting-my-hopes-up thrown in for good measure. Can anyone with more expertise comment?
I was placed on hold 9/28 and just received an interview invite last night. I haven't even been keeping up with this thread since I kinda filed them away after the hold. How long after an interview do ppl usually get accepted/rejected?
i believe that cclcm will send out their next acceptances in late january.. they have their subcommittee meetings at the end december, january, february

Oh boy, we are sooooooo screwed. 🙁I'm going to go ahead and jinx it and say that it hasn't snowed yet today, and the sun is out.

Thanks for posting that link. 👍At work today, my wife received the second issue of the new Cleveland Clinic Bioethics Newsletter, Bioethics Reflections. It's completely coincidental that my wife got it. But it is indeed well written and thought-provoking yet easy to consume in a short time (it's only 7 pages long). You guys might want to check it out:

The next subcommittee meeting is January 26.When is CCLCM supposed to be doing another round of acceptances?
I'm sorry, but I don't think any of the UP students know. 🙁any chance one of the med students could answer this for us? im wondering the same thing

Again, I don't think anyone really knows. It's not that they're ignoring your non-eggplant posts.Anyone know when they will start to look at POST INTERVIEW Holds? I know this isnt about Eggplant, but hopefully someone will show mercy and post something! ;p

Hang in there, guys. It's only a couple more weeks now.I heard something similar at my interview. I hope it's soon!!!
Reliable source?!
I don't know much...but CCLCMer?! He's been spot on every time as far as I can tell. 😉
There was an adcomm meeting yesterday, but it was one of the regular biweekly Thursday meetings, not a subcommittee meeting. These Thursday meetings are held throughout the app season. The adcomm uses the Thursday meetings to rank applicants, but no admissions decisions are made at those meetings. Applicants who score well enough at their Thursday meeting review are then considered for a second time at the subcommittee meetings, which are special adcomm meetings held solely to select the applicants who will be admitted. This year's subcommittee meetings have been scheduled for the last Tuesdays in December, January and February. Again, these three Tuesday subcommittee meetings are the ONLY adcomm meetings where acceptees are selected.i'm really confused by all of this information. i heard from a reliable source that there was a subcommitee meeting yesterday on 1/14. do u know about this cclcmer?
It's possible that anyone who interviews up until and including January 25 could be considered at the January 26 subcommittee meeting.i'm interviewing this monday for cclcm (1/18)- was wondering if you knew if i would be considered at the january subcomittee meeting or if i will have to wait till february
So do you know the date of the final adcom meeting? I interview on jan 29th right after the january meeting, would it be the last tuesday in february? It's possible that anyone who interviews up until and including January 25 could be considered at the January 26 subcommittee meeting.
The last subcommittee meeting was originally scheduled for February 16, but it will probably get moved to the end of February since CCLCM's interview season was extended by a couple of weeks. I'll let you guys know as soon as the date of the third subcommittee is finalized. So do you know the date of the final adcom meeting? All I can tell you for sure is that people who score below a certain cutoff at the Thursday meetings will get rejected without going to the subcommittee. This cutoff is not hard and fast from year to year, which is why it takes a while for post-interview rejections to start going out. I'm not sure whether the same cutoff is used to decide who gets considered at the next subcommittee meeting, or if there are two cutoffs (i.e., one for rejections and one for subcommittee consideration) with some people in the middle left on hold for consideration at subsequent meetings. Sorry, I don't think that I really answered your question. 😳Thanks for the info, this is really good stuff. If you don't score high enough at this biweekly meeting to make it to the subcommittee meeting, does that mean an auto rejection or just a deferral to the next subcommittee meeting? Or does it vary?

Hey, Myuu, you should have seen my slaloming today. It was par excellence. I've even started working on going backwards, and best of all, no faceplants so far!

No, there won't be a hold anymore once all the interviews are done, but you could still be waitlisted.so for those of us who are going to have our interviews before the last adcom meeting in february and after the january meeting, it is decided there and then, and there is no post interview hold because thats the last round of acceptances right?
You can't separate it out like that, because there isn't a set amount that each part is weighted. The adcomm considers your entire app holistically.Ah.... back to worrying then. Any idea how much your application affects your score, vs your interviews?

I don't think you need to worry too much about your application, because if it wasn't strong enough, you wouldn't have gotten an invite to interview, right? But if you're asking whether a bad interview can tank an awesome app, the answer is yes. Both Case programs care a lot about fit, and fit is especially important for CCLCM since the classes are so small and we do so much work in small groups.

Well, of course it's always possible that something will come up in the adcomm meeting that didn't come up during the initial screening. But I don't think that would happen as often since both faculty interviewers and the screener have already read your file thoroughly before the whole adcomm reviews you. Anyway, try not to worry about it if you can, because it's out of your hands now. Good luck.Luckily, I was more concerned about my application tanking my interview, hooray!
Next week you will have to show me. You are the bomb.Awesome! 😀 I have learned to do some sort of whacked out almost-but-not-quite half-scissor... thing. It's the thing I was trying before, only with me not breaking/spraining/???ing anything.👍
I like that one, too. Since you love sleep, of course you get this one: 😴I love that smiley too...it's a very stressed out little smiley.
I also love CCLCMer! (And Myuu too)
Here's a happy smiley for you (I like this one too):![]()
Who ever knew you had such thread vanity? Unlike you, vc7777, I actually have something useful to say. TWO useful things, as a matter of fact.
I am not sure about the people who interview on Friday 1/22 and Monday 1/25, but I will see what I can find out about that.
Blerg, and here I was thinking I'd get a fast response. Godspeed CCLCMer, find out about us 1/22 interviewees.
😕 😱 😕 😱 Letters for both rejections and acceptances? The first thing is that CCLCM acceptance and post-interview rejection letters have gone out and are being received. Again, if you don't get a letter within the next few days, it means that the adcomm is still considering you (basically like being on post-interview hold).
I'm assuming they're the 12 (or whatever) acceptances that went out last month.😕 😱 😕 😱 Letters for both rejections and acceptances?
