I hear you, I have an interview in Puerto Rico I really don't want to go. So if accepted, supposed to go next friday but if I find I got in I won't be going to Puerto Rico. Don't know about you guys but I'm sleeping like 4 hrs a night, staying up to long thinking about howard! Such a good school.
 
Since I have completed in early Sept, i havn't heard anything from this school. I love this school..this is my first choice .... not sure how long will i have to wait!!!! Any one waiting still not hearing anything for over two months!!!! Please adivse!!!

Havent heard anything since submitting the secondary (one of the first). I am also very hopeful just waiting and waiting.....
 
I interviewed here recently. The women in the admissions office are really sweet. call them and talk to them if you have any questions about your app, i'm sure they'd be glad to help. My interactions with them was the best part of my interview day there.
 
I hope all of us hear something tomorrow, ivterview or accepatance, or just a teaser email from Ms. Walk

Did you guys get Ms. Walk's email from Nov. 12th about our letters? She explained they would be mailed about mid-week this week (Nov. 18th), and also that she would email us when the letters are sent. I interviewed Oct. 27th and received my out of committee notice Nov. 12th as well.
 
a hit of paranoia... Does amcas automatically send updated MCAT scores to the schools once they are released? Or do you have to email and update the programs individually?

I think you have to release them from the tHx site like you did for a previous MCAT, but for Howard's purposes, I would shoot an email just to be sure (especially if you already interviewed)

I'm in the same boat. I have a bunch of friends that applied here as well (all from my undergrad, all within the first week(s) of the secondary being released). All of us are sitting in silence here. Idk what more can be done. I asked before for advice about it on this thread. I received ~2 responses before people went back to talking about post-interview waiting and sports :/ I don't think you're going to find much help here. Either sit back and stay busy with other things or at this point it might not hurt to give admissions a ring. Not sure what to say once they pick up, but it's an option I suppose.

Hmmm, well, you guys might want to look up the 2008-2009 Thread. I looked through them and some information other applicants posted last year might be very useful to you all. Don't ever want people to think SDN isn't helpful!.... especially on Howard's thread.

Sigh... Yeah, they were released but for some reason I just had the annoying itch today that I should have just emailed them back then. My application is already out of committee too. Most of the other programs that I applied to got the update without a hitch, (only a few had difficulties) hopefully that was the case here and I'm just being paranoid.

Did you receive the Nov. 12th email from Ms. Walk titled "ABOUT YOUR LETTERS"?

I've read through that thread numerous times (even went back to double-check). Am I missing something? It seemed like a repeat of this year's thread. People tossing questions back and forth about whether anyone else has heard anything, blah blah blah. And that admissions is swamped.

Anyways, based on last year's trends, there should be some interview invites coming out right before Thanksgiving. As my pastor says, give God thanks on this side of the battle. Here's to hoping for a win later this month 🙂

I didn't. That's why I wrote that it seems there should be more interview invites coming out before the holidays (at least according to last year's thread). I also previously wrote that I was in the same boat as many who haven't heard a peep since they received confirmation that their secondary had been received. Nothing but silence filling these ears.
 
what was Nov 12th letter? was that sent to all? or only for one has interviewed? did i miss any!!!!!1

It was an email for people that have all ready interviewed concerning a slight delay in the acceptance process. That was basicly the email. You didn't miss anything.
 
I'm leaving tomorrow for an interview in New York. My actual interview is on the 18th (the day the letters are supposed to be mailed). At this other interview, all I'm gonna be thinking about is Howard! Isn't that terrible?! haha.... if only they had the letters out one week before, I wouldn't be in this predicament! 🙂

*sigh* I just hope it all works out. JClass, you are so right... waiting is sooooo hard!

It is, I just called Ponce SC. Medi. In PR to buy time, I was supposed to go friday, but reschedualed for next friday. Would cost me a lot to go there for an interview which I am trying to avoid if Howard would let us know was up " are we in, or not". I pray I'm in. Good luck on your interview in NY, and I hope we both get into howard!!

Does anyone have an interview on Dec. 2??? Just looking to get to know people before the actual interview day.

Hopefully not christmas duckie, I'm hoping before hear back before the end of this week. It's driving me insane all ready duckie, it's like watching a really good movie that keeps saying," to be continued," right before it starts to get really good.

Haha.. Christmas if I must but I gotta interview that's costing me n arm n a leg to get too. Traveling around thanksgiving is sooo expensive !! My application budget needs some love too dude.
 
Yeah duckie I hear you a trip to my next friday interview is gonna cost 2 arms and half a torso! I haven't bought the ticket yet waiting for Howard, but the longer I wait the higher those plane tickets seem to creep up in price! We better get used to being broke and handing IOU's ha ha! The journey will be worth it! I have a feeling we are going to be classmates. Let's keep our heads high duckie.

Haha!! Every time my blackberry vibrates my heart stops, then I look in the in box and its an email like, " your ebill is now ready for view" ! 🙁

my savings account has been in freefall since i started applying to med school. i've definitely spent more than 5k and am approaching 10k. only 6 interviews too. oh boy

I don't think we are going to hear anything today regarding acceptances.
 
I have sincerely been trying to take my mind off this whole process but its not working lol. The anxiety is unbearable, i feel like my internet life has diminished to checking SDN and my email 24/7. Sometimes I cant even think of anything to do online outside of that lol. Hopefully we hear something soon!

Go to youtube a check out the howard skits. I just gave up expecting to hear anything soon, so I act like we are not supposed to hear back until after thanksgiving.
 
I hope so texasdoc, but your right I have a feeling tomorrow will be the day.

yep, interviews were today. When you hear back from them also depends on how quickly your interviewer writes up your file and send it to the committee. if your interviewer is fast then you'll hear back sooner rather than later.
 
well you guys... If you got that out of committee email, and that "About your letters" email, Ms. Walk made it pretty clear that they will be mailed around the 18th, so either tomorrow, or hopefully the 19th or 20th. If you got those emails, hopefully you won't be waiting till after Thanksgiving!

Here I am, in New York... and still only thinking about Howard! 😍

Does anyone know if there are interviews today? I thought they interview MON TUES WEDS? I hope we hear from Ms. Walk today. Good luck guys.
