Yea but I haven't heard a confirmation or anything from them yet so I'm not exactly sure. I don't know of any other email address to send it to though
 
They sometimes wait for your grades before they decide. When I applied they had an admissions meeting in late May. I remember they wanted my last semester grades. I sent them in after graduation mid May, and they called me within a couple days from that meeting to accept. Unless they changed their policy, they always call you when they accept you and they snail mail the other stuff. My point being, if you are on alternate list, they may just be waiting until your final transcript and then review it all so dont slack and blow off your last semester.

Also, if you havent heard anything at all, it doesnt hurt to give them a call. I sure am glad i did, because the computer system said they had all my stuff but when I called, they said they didnt and I had to resubmit some things.
 
Ahh, all this work has finally paid off! After months of work I have completed my comprehensive collection of California medical school rejections. It will look positively dashing on my wall next to my arthropod collection! Well, congrats to those of you who were accepted; I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little jealous, I would've been thrilled to attend LLUSOM. For those of you who's thin letters were less bad than mine, good luck! 🙂

The letter came in yesterday's mail to my parent's house in the SF bay area.
 
I was wait listed a while back and just recently sent in my withdrawal. Good luck guys!

Interview: Mid February
Waitlist: April 15th
 
for those who got accepted or waitlisted, did your application page online change?
 
I got in here and got a letter saying I have to decide what I want to do. They know I got into NYU and Wake Forest also.

Not sure which to choose. It is a really hard decision.

Right now I am thinking I will withdraw from NYU for a few reasons, but I don't know its scary!

what do you guys think?
 
Congrats on your multiple acceptances. Just think about what each school has to offer, and go with your gut instinct on that one. Pick one that you think you'll be happiest attending 🙂. I haven't visited all the other schools you mentioned, but LLU is an awesome school, and I hope you end up choosing it. My cousin is at wake forest.. and he said he isn't a big fan of NC... (he's a city kinda guy)... and CA is a great place to be 🙂. <-- of course i'm super biased cuz i love ca and llu 🙂

Aww Congrats. They are all great schools. I got waitlisted at LLU so it would be nice if you go to NYU! hahaha Im just joking. It depends where you are going to live for 4 years so I would consider the environment and the people around as well. Congrats again!
 
I gave up my acceptance at LLU recently, I hope it goes to someone who will be as excited (or more so!) to go there as I was. My decision came down to finances, and while i didn't receive LLU's financial package, i don't think there is any way they were going to be able to beat my aid from a separate school. good luck you guys!!!!!!!!!! :luck::luck::luck:
 
ok so i just got my finanical aid package from LLU, and they have offered me 52,000ish which is a combination of subsidized/unsubsidized loans and scholarship money. Now, they say the total expense for next year will be 62,000ish, so where does the extra $10,000 come from? I have no experience with loans or whatnot for paying for school so I don't know how to proceed. How much is safe from private loans? How soon should I apply for those?

Where did you find your Financial Aid award? Online or through email? I just checked online and haven't received mine yet. I've been waiting to find out about it.

I got an email telling me to check the LLU portal, which is where I found all of the information.

I know, right-- scary to know when to do things. So far, the LLU financial aid office has been really helpful in answering all of my questions. The staff is knowledgeable-- I would call them. 🙂

Awesome! Just talked with them and got it taken care of. Apparently they had not posted all the federal loans I had been awarded yet! I am now $62,000+ in debt lol.

Has anyone completed their registration and if so what classes did you sign up for?
 
Never mind the previous question. I just spoke with LLU and they will be signing first years up for classes and won't get to that until the middle of June.
 
Does anybody know when they will start calling for people on the waitlist? Or are they gonna let us know by mail? According to an article on SDN homepage, the person received his acceptance in May. Just wondering if anyone had any friends who were accepted from the list.
 
Im not sure when they start calling people, but I know one of my classmates was called the week before orientation to say he was off the list and had a spot.

You think the 62000 is bad, just wait till you graduate and they send you the list of all your debt. As far as classes, the school registers you for everything. The only thing you have a choice in for the first 2 years is which religion classes you want. Enjoy 🙂
 
My grandfather teaches the religion classes at LLU and he says they are pretty much participation classes compared to the real stuff. They do sound pretty interesting!!
 
Does anyone (future/current students) know anything about the Daniells Residence Complex? How strict are they? Is it just a glorified dorm? Would anyone recommend living there?
 
Can anyone tell me what kind of LOR's loma linda requires? Also how many? Thanks so much!!!
 
OMG I just got accepted off the waitlist!!!! First acceptance!! 😍 Hahah I'm still in shock right now. Does anyone know if there is a facebook page for the incoming class? Or anywhere I can look for roommates or housing? Thanks!

I got THE call yesterday at 5pm!! but I still can't believe it! I have nothing in my hands, and no status change.. no email...... this can't be a hoax, or they can't take it back, can they?? 😀😀😀😀 i still can't stop smilingg!!!! I AM going to be a doctor!!!! 🙂

Try your best not to live there. They are strict, and its not that nice. Plus do you really want to share a room with someone when trying to study late. Best thing to do is look at online version of loma linda trading post and find a place or some roomates there.

Congratulations and thanks for encouraging us! I am so happy for you that your dream is coming true and with such enthusiasm, I believe you will be a passionate physician we all need. 🙂) I have a question about what you have done after you were waitlisted. Have you updated them with any letter of intent? I submitted one about a month and a half ago, I wonder if I should turn in another one. I'm not even sure if they will accept another one.
 
It's almost time to start! I just arrived in Loma Linda this morning after driving for three days! Let's do this!!!
