Hey guys I recently interviewed with Wake and was looking to send my post interview thank you letters to the three doctors who interviewed with me. However, I don't have their mailing address. I tried searching the website but couldn't find anything. Those of you who have already interviewed did you all send yours snail mail and if so what was the structure of their addresses. I would assume I could just send them to the doctor's name followed by the general hospital address but don't want my thank you notes getting lost in the mail. Thanks for the help.

I did have addresses for a couple but I just sent all of them to the admissions office addressed to the interviewers (and that's what Tammy advised too when I called to ask).

I don't know what to say except maybe if you call again, you could mention that you were told you are in a waitlist pool, and ask what are the chances of obtaining an interview from this pool? I have not seen a "waitlist" pool mentioned by anyone on these boards, so I'm not sure what it means. It doesn't sound good, but you really never know.
 
I would not dismiss it as a rejection at this point. Especially since people are starting to drop off the post-interview waitlist at Wake due to acceptances elsewhere.

For me, my online status change happened so quickly I did not notice it before receiving an email.
 
The status page is changed for those of you waiting for a decision from Dec. 16. I'm waitlisted, but I'm keeping the hope alive!!

Thanks for the heads up; waitlisted here too. A ton of people get off the waitlist I think though, so there's still hope
 
Does your application say "waitlisted?" Mine says application rejected, but I thought you were either accepted or waitlisted.

That sucks! Yeah it says:
Your application is on the wait list and under active consideration. You will be notified of any status change.

I was also under the impression that they only accept or waitlist post-interview, but maybe they only mentioned those two outcomes because they're the only ones that will really allow any opportunity for future relationship with the school. A rejection is kind of final and obvious.

So upon further questioning, I was told today that I am in a "review pool" and that if they decide something, which could or could not be an interview, then they would let me know. So I asked her "am I in any 2nd interview pool?" She said "no, we have 3000 applicants in 'review waitlist' and we can interview 550 or so and hence we are continuously reviewing your apps. Anyone in the same position?
 
Does anyone know if Wake accepts updates pre-interview?

I got a secondary very late (10/29) compared to all of the other schools I applied to, and submitted it a few days later. I haven't heard anything since and I'm not sure what to expect. I didn't know they gave much status information on the phone so I'll definitely be calling Monday! Hopefully they're still open.
 
Are there any chances that more interviews will go out? I have had this status since as long as I can remember. "Your application is complete. If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview."

Nope every single invite is gone...yep.

Dude every school invites at least a few people after Xmas. Many schools do a big chunk of them after Jan...so

Are you sure? When I scheduled my own interview just a couple weeks ago they still had openings for the end of January.
 
Blue Elmo: I just called and that's the status I got too. Would they have told us if we were in, "the review pool" that collosalmockery is in? Maybe it depends on who answers the phone?

I called today to check on my status, having previously been told I was in an interview pool that was being constantly reviewed and would be notified if I received an interview, and was told I was basically on a waitlist for an interview. I guess I'm in the same position? This school has me thoroughly confused.
 
Interview Invite. Complete 9/11. I'll let you guys know when they are scheduling once I call.

Scheduled for 2 weeks from today. There was a slot open for 1/14 but I'm taking off work to interview elsewhere on 1/13 so I figured I'de give a bit more notice.

I also got an interview invite today, scheduled for 1/13. She said it was because of a cancellation, but even beyond that they had dates at the end of January, so there must be more invitations about to go out.

Wish they had Tuesday interviews! I had to schedule mine for next month on Feb 8th because of my work schedule 🙁
 
Hey, does anyone know when the committee is meeting again? Did they meet this Wed or are they meeting next Wed? The break has me confused.

Not sure about the previous meeting, but I just called WF today and they said the next meeting is Jan. 27th.
 
this might be a "duh" question, but...
i was waitlisted about two weeks after i interviewed in november. i wanted to send them a letter of intent, but i've already written most of what i would write in a LoI in my secondary. should i just rephrase?

Well if you want to get in off the waitlist here, I think you definitely need to send them something to keep your app active (that was my impression from the waitlist letter). Surely you can think of some new things after having visited the school (or in what ways interviewing reinforced what you had originally written)? Or at least a short update on an activity to add in?
 
Has anyone here gotten off the post-interview waitlist? I mean...I'd assume active consideration all throughout the cycle means that some do....

I loved WF. Its one of my top choices and I definitely let them know. I haven't gotten an acceptance email yet but so far...

I sent an update letter with grades, thanks for letting me interview, ILOVEYOURSCHOOL kinda vibe right after I got back from the interview, before the committee meeting. ( late October)

I sent another letter that highlighted why I would be a great fit for their school after I was waitlisted. This baby was DETAILED. lol ( mid november)

And I just sent a third one after the holidays updating them with my community service and grades from fall quarter and a tiny statement saying I still love this school. ( earlier this week).

I hope this works. I mean, I'd lead a perfectly happy life without WF but I would still LOVE to go here.

Just received a rejection (pre-interview, complete since mid September); the letter said that I was put into an interview pile, they just don't have enough spots to interview the rest. Oh well, I guess it's nice to know that they were considering interviewing me rather than just an outright rejection.

Me too! Status page says that all interview invites for the year have been made.

Um, is this true? Because my status still just says "Complete" and that invitations are given between September to March.

Same here.

The last round of interviews people reported in this thread (on 1/6) were for dates only 1-2 weeks away. I really doubt they've sent out invitations for March yet, unless they vary with how much advance notice they want to give to people. I'm pretty sure these are the first post-secondary / pre-interview rejections they've sent out, so maybe they've made a decision on who all they're inviting for the rest of the season, but just haven't notified people yet? Fingers crossed.

Weird. I talked to the admissions office a few minutes ago. They wouldn't say anything about my app other than it's in an interview pool. However, I was told that they are reviewing apps this week, rejecting some, offering interviews to others, and should be done by Friday. I was also told that they continue offering interview invites until the second week of March.

I wonder if it was all interview invites for your specific interview group? Maybe there are multiple interview groups and the ones "above" yours have enough people to be interviewed from. :shrug:

Mine still has the complete message.

Yea they told me the same thing. I am guessing that waves of rejections are going to be coming each day this week, hopefully we survive.

I have the same problem trying to access the status page on my work computer (both through Firefox and Internet Explorer) but have no problems accessing the status page on my phone.

Weird.
