I was complete on 8/4 which I know was not that long ago but I am going to be in Cleveland in mid sept because of another interview in Columbus. Is it too early for "I am going to be in town" phone calls? I don't want to bother them because they are my top choice (along with CCLCM) but by this time last year they were already handing out interviews.
 
I just got an email saying "your status has changed, please log in to see it". I'm thinking this is a rejection, but when I log in, I don't see any changes. Anyone else? I'm I trying too hard just to see a rejection note somewhere?
 
I just got an email telling me that my status changed but when I log in, nothing is different (I was complete 7/30). Anybody else getting this? Also, I only applied university track if that matters.
 
Ap, it looks like we're in the same boat. I'm assuming this is a rejection. Not to be a debbie-downer, but that's all I've been getting lately 🙁

Same here. Got the email but can't find any change in status...
 
Same thing happened to me..I got an e-mail, but my status was not any different...????

well, I doubt they would reject us this early flat out. I am going to be an optimist (for once) and say that it's an interview! lol
 
Or maybe they are only telling us just now that our app is complete... 😕 we'll see. and now I'm constantly refreshing the status page.
 
I also got this email. Since I never got a 'complete' email, and I don't see any changes in my status, I'm assuming that's what it is. Also, it looks like the email has been sent out to a lot of people, probably everyone who was complete before today.
 
I also got the email with no corresponding change on my status page... the suspense... maybe they just want to keep us intrigued 🙂

i also thought it was a complete email but then on my page it says

When was my application marked as complete? 07/21/2010

so i'm kind of doubtful that they would send an email telling us the app is complete when they have it right there on the page?
 
I tried calling their office but it's after 5pm ET so no one picked up. After getting rejected from 4 schools and no interviews yet, I'm *cautiously* keeping my fingers crossed but trying not to get too excited
 
I'm assuming everyone who got this email is UP only, since CP hasn't even started reviewing apps yet, and UP+CP applicants have to wait until both programs have reviewed their file before hearing about the interview decisions...? I'm a UP+CP applicant and I have not received any emails so far.

I got the same thing, and I'm applying to UP and CP. No changes for me...

I have the same thing. Email of a status change without an actual status change.
 
they're just putting you in suspense for the big reveal. makes things more exciting.

Interview invite! I'm so happy I cried! Then I tried to open the scheduler and got a browser error 😀
 
I plan on submitting the secondary today. I feel so late! :scared: But I did spend a decent time on my essays, so hopefully that pays off!

I'm absolutely in love with the College Program. I'm very heavily interested in staying in academia to conduct research, teach med students and residents, and take care of patients. But I wasn't willing to spend several years pursuing a PhD along with the MD. So, I hope my huge interest in academia shines through the essays.

My understanding is that there are currently no attendings who graduated from this program so we can't say whether they're staying in academia. I was wondering though if anyone knew how many of the residents are pursuing research-heavy residencies. I know there are certain pathways (ie. the Holmann Pathway for radonc, the ABIM Research Pathway, etc) that emphasize academics and provide protected time to conduct research. It'd be interesting to see if a large percentage of graduates of the College Program are pursuing these types of residencies.

I'm guessing having absolutely no research is not good for applying to Case
 
Does anyone know how long it takes after an interview to receive a decision... aka which dates would get you in before the October 15th decision?

For UP: I don't remember how quickly they review the files, but I remember it being rather quick. Maybe two weeks-ish? They'll tell you at your interview day. I interviewed September 29th and was accepted in the first batch on October 15th.

Just got an interview invite! I wasn't expecting it since I don't have much of a research background, but I'm not complaining. 🙂

Hi Myuu, I have a question. Like Kaushik, I somehow get delayed, and plan to submit the Case secondary tomorrow, 30 days after received it. Case's email says "we request that you complete the online secondary within two weeks of receipt." I did not notice this until just a few days ago. I wonder if I shall send a separate letter to Case to apologize for my delay? Or, pointing out my own fault would hurt my application? Thank you!
