Interview invite !! I applied early june but was complete a couple of days ago. I received the interview invite two days after receiving the complete email. Thrilled overhere!! :soexcited:

How on earth do you SAVE the secondary without submitting it? I can't find a little button anywhere...jeez I'm too dumb to save my app.

Edit: Just called the office, apparently it's no glitch. There is no save mechanism. Lame.

Does anyone know what questions are usually asked during interview? Anything too off the wall?
 
Does anybody know if Dartmouth has notified people of rejections yet?
 
I'm staying at the Baymont Inn. What's the best way to get the campus to interview in the morning? If taxi is the best, which one?

There's only one taxi company that I'm aware of: Big Yellow Taxi.

If you stay at other hotels and take the bus, you'd have to drag the luggage around on the interview day. I plan to store my luggage at Hanover Inn, and at 5pm take the last bus from there, arrive to Logan one hour before my flight. I hope the bus doesn't run late and I can catch my flight.

The admissions office will let you leave your luggage there so you can go directly to your flight.

Most of the interviewers stick to your application - about your life, who you are, what you're passionate about.

Holiday Inn Express is great. ~ $13 cab ride to the school. I would highly recommended the student hosts, though. Dartmouth really is a great community with welcoming people. Plus, you can talk to them about medical school and the application process.
 
I am a bit confused with their 8 hour requirements in general chemistry and physics. This just means a whole year of general chemistry and physics right? The school I go to does the credit hours a bit differently.

Yes. "One year (eight semester hours) each of general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and physics." More on the admissions page.
 
does anyone know which days of the week interviews are conducted?
 
I thought it was a long shot applying here but behold, an interview!!! 🙂 Still waiting for someone to wake me up from my dream.

Haha, here I am to poke you and wake you up! Congrats! Believe me, soon you will find yourself making a tough choice between BU and Dartmouth. Both are really great schools, and it will end up with you preferring a rural life or an urban life. I'll interview at Dartmouth two weeks later and from what I can tell by email now, Dartmouth staff and students are the nicest I have seen. Its small class size makes it very intimate. I haven't heard from BU yet but have luckily passed its 30-day mark, crossing fingers...
 
Interview invite today too! C: 8/25 🙂 So happy! My friend just interviewed here and loved it. Now to book a flight....
 
If I don't call right away, will I lose one of the dates offered? Or do they stay valid as long as I respond within 7 days?

this may seem like a random question, but for those of you with invites, did the email come from Dartmouth or was it addressed from a coordinator?

I am just trying to monitor my spam filter :/
 
I don't know if anybody hanging around here is a dartmouth student or went undergrad there. I was wondering what some good trail runs are? I am hoping to get in a run the day I arrive, as well as the two interview days! (So, three trails potentially? I LOVE trail running)
 
How far are you going? I stuck to mostly streets/sidewalks when I was there, but there are some dirt trails back by the golf course. Not well marked, but very pretty. It's a lovely place to run, I miss it!
 
I'll take anything between about 3 and 13 miles. I don't know if I will have enough time/sunlight to get in anything above 9-10, but it would be nice to try...

You can do the Pine Park trail in the woods around the golf course on campus. You'll see a sign and an opening into the woods right where the golf carts are stored near the DOC (Dartmouth Outing Club) house.

does anyone know if the Dartmouth interviews are open-file or closed-file?

I want to second this, I contacted a student host and so far she has been super helpful.

Sorry if this is stated elsewhere, and I should know this as I'm a reapplicant, but was notification via email or status page? If email, when was the last time you checked your status page? For some schools it takes a good deal of time to send the email after the status page has been updated.
 
They just sent an email. My status page is actually still not updated.
 
Just got an interview invite! I submitted on 8/26, got a complete email on 8/31, and got the email this morning.

are you guys serious right now? lol. I waited 2 and a half months for my interview and you guys are complaining about "Still waiting" after a week. RELAXXXXXX
