I entered screening on 9/3 too, I'd say hold off your worries for a while.

I just applied like 2 days ago. I was EDP at KU and just found out I was not accepted. Does anyone think I have a shot? I hope I am not too late. I have a moderate application. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi Hi Everyone,

I was wondering how are you guys getting all these status updates? By email? I was complete about 3 weeks ago but haven't heard a thing.

Thanks

The current going rate for hearing back about primary review is 4~5weeks; then you hear about small pool within 3~4wks later.... that's at least what I've seen posted on this website... so you probably need to wait another week to hear back about ur preview... yeah, it's a pretty long process.👍

I still waiting to hear back from CMS, but my application was really different. I sent it in, and literally 2 days after that I got a complete AND primary screening email on Sept. 4th...now absolutely nothing!!!

I entered primary screening 9/20, and based on what I'm hearing, I shouldn't expect to have heard anything quite yet. Just to confirm - the next step after "primary screening" is "small pool", and then interview invites go out AFTER that? Is that how it works?

can someone host me tuesday night (12th)? Ill pay you.. PM me!

I've entered primary screening on August 3rd and haven't been pooled or rejected yet. I've emailed them twice and they've replied with the same generic email. What should I do? I really want to go to this school!

Try calling. Clearly, email is not working for you! 👎

And be patient, amigo! That is quite a while, but I'm sure you're not the only one. I think I was in primary screening about two weeks, but that was earlier in the cycle. I've been small pooled since 8/6. Good luck to ya! 👍

Does anybody know if Rosalind has student hosts available for the interview?

I can't find the number to contact the admissions office, anyone have it?

For housing during interview? they don't. but if you can track down someone who lives in student housing that would be great because the interview place is only 5 minutes walk from the housing buildings.

So I'm confused. Cuz I got an email on 9/1/10 that I was complete and about to enter initial screening process. Then on 9/23/10 I got another email saying I'm under the primary screening. so does that mean it took 9 days post new MCAT scores for them to put me into primary screening or had I been in primary screening the whole time and were they just sending an email again?

Thanks for your time in letting me know.

From my experience, I received an initial "Complete" email and then almost two weeks later I received a "Primary Screening"--so I would say that you did not enter primary screening until 9/23.

Any speculation on when the next round of invites is expected? A brief look through the thread looks like invites went out on 9/02 (Thurs) and 9/30 (Thurs) this year. Last year it looks like invites went out 9/09, 9/22, 23, 24, 10/08 and 10/21 (roughly every 2 weeks). The best I can predict is another Thursday (maybe tomorrow?).

Ok. So hopefully in 10 days then I will know something based on what I've read on here. seems like 1 month is about the timeline for people to hear something.

Wish me :luck:

ha it'll take awhile guju. rosalind is a little slow so I wouldn't sit and wait for this one to send you notices quickly.

Guju, the e-mail about primary screening says 6-8 weeks. A few people have heard from RFU sooner, but others are waiting the full time or longer.

my timeline:

entered primary screening- 8/17
primary screening complete (small pool)- 9/12

I've been complete since 9/17 saying that is it undergoing initial review.

haven't received the "primary screening email" yet 🙁 should i be worried? its almost been 4 weeks

eh, I wouldn't worry. RFU is extremely slow about everything. Think of it this way - if a school still uses snail mail applications, then obviously they aren't concerned about either the efficiency of the application process or the mental health of their students. 😀

I wouldn't worry about this. I think my timeline takes the cake:

App Complete 7/19
Entered Screening 7/22
Small Pooled: 9/7 (!!!!)

So yeah, it can take them some time.

Small pooled today! Entered primary on 9/3. Here's to hoping for an interview!

Congrats, Essie!

Still twiddling my thumbs here... RFU, I love you, please give me an interview or at least a small pool!

Yeah! I finally got small pooled today after slightly over 10 weeks! I have a feeling my angry call on Wednesday did me some good!

Man I'm way behind,

Marked complete on 10/13 😛

I've been treading water in the small pool since 8/23 *sigh*

Just hoping they haven't forgotten about me...

Accepted! Yeah!!! Interviewed on one of the first dates in september and just got the email!

ACCEPTED!!!! OMG! I wasn't expecting anything for another 2-3 weeks at the earliest! What a relief... 😀😀😀😀

for those of you who were accepted, congrats!!! can you please share when you interviewed? thanks!!

Oh man, I'm going to hope and ASSUME that the October kids haven't had their committee meet up yet lol. The admissions secretary during our interview date said that we would hear "anytime between now and the end of the month"..so I've still got 10 days to freak out haha.

For those who got accepted, did anyone interview in October?

Does anyone know what percentage of people small pooled actually get interviews? I was small-pooled back in August and haven't heard anything since. I was wondering whether you all think small pooled gives you a high chance (75%+), okay chance (50%) or low chance (less than 25%) of getting an interview. Or is there not a huge screening process from small pool to interview?

I've been working under the theory that all applicants who exceed minimum standards for admission get small pooled. However, not all small pools are equal. Higher ranked small pools get invited to interviews, until the class is full, at which point everyone else gets rejected.

Probability-wise, I'd say that being small pooled gives you a LOW chance of getting interviewed, at least if last year's threads are anything to go by.

I believe most applicants get small pooled. They might have different levels of pools and invite people from each one.

Congrats to all the accepted!!! You're gonna be doctors! My interview is two weeks from today, and I sincerely hope I get some of the good love you got today!

Sorry Rosalind, you'll be the first school I withdraw from, because I have an offer now and would like to make space for the rest of applicants .

Secondary received by mail: 7/15
Primary screening: 7/22
Small-pooled: 8/12
Interview invite: 9/2 ; September dates offered, but emailed to delay it to November.
Withdraw: today

Thank you, Rosalind, for kindly allowing me to delay my interview date with you. Honestly, I think Rosalind is a wonderful safety school, and I high recommend it to everyone as a safety school of choice.

Good luck everyone! I hope one more person will get an invite now. 😍
