Hey as people get accepted, some of us at UK undergrad have created a Facebook group in order for everyone to meet their future classmates. I think all you have to do is send the request

i interviewed last saturday (10/9).

Does anyone know if i will hear today??

UK is my #1 so i am just waiting for my phone to ring... hope they dont leave me hanging in the dark too long!

Well, that sucks. I thought the AAMC date this year is Oct 15. Well, we'll just wait another 3 days.

A few other schools have started releasing acceptances. Why would AAMC request UK to wait?

Some schools are releasing emails at 12:01am on the 16th. Some released info today. UK keeps to the rules, I guess. Monday here we come!

One of our administrators is on the AAMC committee that writes these rules. It would be shady if we didn't obide!

Accepted this morning!! Got a phone call from my interviewer.
 
Got the call from my interviewer this afternoon as well. I definitely liked the personal touch. Good luck to everyone, and congrats to those who heard today.

Headed up to Lexington tomorrow for interviews...I have an interview Monday in Morehead and Tuesday in Lexington (Rural Physician Leadership Program)...

From those of you who have already interviewed any advice? I read Maiden's post about their interview experience and was VERY helpful...but any other advice would be GREAT...

Just got the acceptance call today. I guess I missed it yesterday. Very personal touch and I'm so excited. I love UK!
 
Just called. I'm on hold. Wld be reviewed again in December. Congrats to all accepted!
 
Congrats to everyone who accepted and hopefully people on hold get a great news soon, I have a Question, do you think after interview , admission committee decide based on GPA and MCAT or just interview, for people on hold, how was your interviews?

Some school emphasize highly on interview some not, what do you think about UK?

Got the call this morning! Accepted! What a relief. Congrats to all those that were accepted, and those on hold, keep the faith, you'll get in.
I think they focused a good amount on the interview. I had lots of experience with medicine, had average stats, and I believe my interviews went excellent. Interviewed on October 5th.
My stats were
VR:11
BS:9
PS:10
GPA:3.75 SGPA:3.65
 
did those of you put on hold call and ask or did you receive a call with the news?

Yep, dropped off my deposit this morning. Trying to keep some semblance of anonymity to this whole thing (even though if someone really wanted to, they could probably figure out who I was), so I sent you a PM with my undergrad.
 
What do you guys all think about UK's 8-12 hours vs. U of L's 8-5? From my understanding, it would be a lot more difficult studying for four hours at UL than UK...

I like UK's better. It's different for everyone, but the majority of med students whom I've spoken with have said that studying on their own is more beneficial than going to lecture. U of L posts all of their classes on Tegrity, though, so I guess in theory you don't have to go to all of them.
 
Hey there had been some complaints that the facebook group for people who got accepted was not working. Facebook sent an alert saying that some groups were having problems and this one was one that was affected (apparently). The privacy has been removed i think so it should be easy to go to. The name is

Another 10/9er here. Nothing yet. I have heard a "10-day" policy around here before, so I would think we should hear something in the next 24 hours or so.
