Good luck everyone - I had almost given up hope looking at all the later complete dates invites. Have more faith then I did!
 
Does anyone know what percentage of interviewed students BU accepts? I know they interview roughly 1000, so how many do they typically accept?

I never received the 30 day email and it is really bugging me. I do not know what that means. Does anyone know? I know that it is better than a rejection but it still is bothering me

Agreed--I'm in the same boat as you. and for the first time in this whole application process, I am starting to get anxious.
 
Whoops, actually I got a 41, that was a typo. I may get some interviews, but I'm not so sure about acceptances. My letters and ec's aren't that great.

Does anyone know anything regarding student host options?

from the website it says: "some students are willing to host out-of-town guests coming to Boston for interview at BUSM. Additional information on this option will be made available when we confirm your interview date"

I am not seeing the "additional information" anywhere...? Is BU like GWU in that you have to specifically write them to inquire about student host options?

Any info is helpful, thanks and congrats to everyone with interviews!

Anyone ever heard of this? I can't find another reference to this on any forum for any school. I'm a non-trad halfway through a master's in biology. I had completed all the pre-reqs from undergrad, so they can't be wondering about those. I called the admissions office and they didn't tell me anything else.

stats: complete 8-30. ugrad 3.6s, PB 3.8s, Grad 3.8s, 28P(1st) 38Q (2nd).

it maybe that pre-reqs completed too long ago don't count..

Nope, I'm a nontraditional student as well and called them before I applied and they said they don't expire credits.
 
Just got the 30 day email. Complete on 8/10.
 
I was complete on 8/4 and received my 30 day email this afternoon.
 
on the secondary where you need to enter the number of semesters for each subject, I am not sure whether I need to enter the entire number of semesters for each subject. For example, if I took more than 10 semesters of biology classes (since I was bio major), do I need to enter 10, or is BU looking for just required two semester classes?
 
Complete 8/10, just got 30-day email yesterday. Better late than never? 🙂

Does anyone know approximate what % of people getting that get II's?

Same here. Complete 8/16. 30 day 9/15. I think it would hurt more if I get rejected without an interview now.

Complete: 8/17
Email: 9/16

So happy 😀. Still a lot left to do, but this made my day.

First rejection...after getting my hopes up three days ago due to the complete email lol...the sting!!!

Now I'm nervous about all my other apps :S
 
Also, would you guys recommend calling admissions to see why I was rejected?

I don't want to sound annoying, and seeing all the super qualified people here getting rejected gives me hope for my other apps...but I was wondering if perhaps they would give me a specific reason (ex. like they didn't like a certain part of my app) so I know what to address on my other apps (or hopefully interviews)....

It would probably be better to wait a little bit later into the cycle with the adcoms are less busy.

Hahaha, so true. They would probably be pretty flustered if they kept getting calls from rejected applicant asking them, "What did I do wrong?" lolz...Thanks!

I should have known I was screwed when I skimmed through this thread and saw all the rejections of people with great stats. Ugh. Rejected 19 days after complete, OOS, 37Q and 3.9. I'm wondering what they're looking for as well... Anyway, first rejection.. Thanks a lot Boston!
