now you guys got me counting days. sigh. i went deep into my inbox and checked my emails from BU 3 years ago (I am now a re-applicant), and I had gotten the "30-day email" followed by a rejection letter 9 days afterwards... i guess the 30-day email didn't do much for me last cycle.

Oh well then in THAT case.. shooooot.

Still, nothing. And today would be 31 days.

I've been complete for well over 30 days, but haven't heard anything. Should I be worried?

I've filled out all the questions on the secondary, and the app won't let me finalize. YYYYYY?
Does it only allow me to do so after receiving my recs and mcat scores? I just took the MCAT and am sending in the recs now.

THANKS!:luck:

I think so. If you read all the text on the application, it states that you can't submit your application until the MCAT/LOR fields have been filled. They'll only be filled when it is available and they download them from your verified AMCAS.

Under the pre-reqs grid, how did everyone include upper-level, non-organic chemistry classes such as Mechanisms of Drug Action (Pharmacology)?

Does this fall under General Chemistry?

😕😕

Hoping this gets answered amidst a huge amount of reject/interview emails...

I would guess no, but you might want to contact them just in case.

I have a question about the educational history section of the secondary. I played music and was involved with sports before college, would it be ok to put that on there? I did play music for 8 years but was seven when I started. What do you guys think?

To my understanding, pharmacology doesn't fit under general chem. You should call them to make sure, especially if you want to use it to satisfy the general chem requirement.

I think you should include it if you continue to play music/sports in college...if not I don't think it will be that beneficial to add it

Well, sitting on day 35 I was hoping for the "30 day email" but instead I got the rejection email 👎. Good luck to everybody left!

Dear Mr. Nguyen,

The Committee on Admissions of Boston University School of Medicine has completed its review of your application. It is with great regret that I inform you that we will be unable to offer an interview this year. This is a disappointment, as much for those who are responsible for the decision as it may be for you, the candidate who is turned away. We acknowledge and respect your accomplishments and recognize that our inability to offer you an opportunity to complete the admissions process is a loss for Boston University. Please accept our best wishes for all your future endeavors.

hahah GPA: 3.87 overall, 32Q. :[

Are you guys getting these "we are really sorry, but..." emails just now, or are they from earlier today?

Got my burn notice at 7:04 pm Eastern.
