The only post-30 day rejections seem to be among the first applicants complete.
I wonder if this represents the final review and they either hand out the interview invite or a rejection.

Anyone complete 6/25 hear anything?

Not yet...with every rejection post I see my own looming ever closer, lol. Complete August 3rd. Should be getting rejected any day now.

Maybe they were too stellar? Or maybe someone flipped a coin. It's such a toss-up. Outta curiosity, I emailed them to solicit feedback on my rejection, and their response was like, "We took another look at your app... I dunno. :shrug:"

I'm still going to disagree with you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've only seen two people on this thread be rejected after receiving the 30 day email. The quoted part I mentioned said "Some who have gotten the 30 day email have not yet received an interview but most on this thread have." I believe that will be the case this year too, unless they're doing things differently. Maybe it's too early to tell though, as it hasn't been very long since most people received the 30 day email (i.e their applications haven't gone through the second round of cuts yet). I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I'm still hopeful that the 30 day email indicates passing the largest (second) round of cuts.

i was complete one day after you, haha, so maybe we'll both be getting the emails at the same time. =\

Having received the thirty day email and having been complete for nearly 60 days, I very much hope you are correct.

It just seems like an awful lot of people rejected in a very short amount of time. We have this many on SDN alone - they just made a huge cut. And yes, upon looking back at the numbers of the people rejected, few had received the 30 day email. I saw one or two and I extrapolated more from that, since people have been rejected before having received that email.

Frankly, I don't know, and it's silly to assume that anyone knows for sure unless he is on the adcom for BU. The best we can do is assume, look at the data and the tendencies, and make educated guesses. For what it's worth, I would rather you be correct than I.
 
Complete 7/19. Received the 30 day email today.

I initially just skimmed it and saw "I regret" in the second paragraph. Almost had a stroke.

Whew, close call.

So, there is no space to indicate any upper-level chemistry courses? I'm not try to use pharm to fulfill the requirement.
 
Complete 7/18 and got the 30-day email yesterday. Not sure it means much but glad I'm still in the pool..
 
complete 7/27 and haven't heard anything yet but will not at all be surprised if i am rejected soon due to my TWO secondary typos!

(and when i say typo, i do not mean a missing comma, i mean made-up words!) face + palm

Hey All,

So, I am a somewhat lazy man with many more secondaries to do, so it it would be awesome if someone who has been paying attention could sort of confirm or deny the consensus as I understand it so far:

1) People are getting rejected before the 30-day email.

2) Last year, most people who got the 30-day email got an interview offer.

3) Nobody has gotten an interview offer at this school yet this year.

All three conjectures are correct. Also keep in mind that Boston apparently has no regard for the sanctity of Sundays - you're just as likely to get a rejection that hallowed day than any other!
 
Also, I was complete in early July, got the 30-day email early August, and my status on the secondary website just says "Your application is complete." Are those statuses not changing to "under consideration" or anything like that?

well ****. Identical stats, I was complete on the third. That rejection should come sometime tomorrow then lol

Rejected with perfect timing. Complete on the 3rd, rejected the 22nd. 33Q, 3.75. Good luck everyone!
 
I've been out of town, so I haven't posted yet. I was rejected 8/17. I was complete on 6/24 and received the 30-day email on 7/27. 3.84/34R with a fairly balanced application. I'm bummed cause I would have loved to go to Boston, but I have a few other interviews coming so I can't be too bummed.

I was complete 8/3, just received the rejection about an hour ago (8/22). 3.8/34R stats. Too bad.
 
they must be making their way to me, eek! 🙁 i have identical stats to a lot of you so i think i know which way it will go. sad because i'll probably get a rejection before i get my first interview invite. 🙁
 
is anyone else who got the 30 day email just bursting with anticipation about II's? I got the 30 day on August 12th and I think I'm going to explode if I don't hear back soon either way....

Congrats on making it this far. 🙂 Calm down and settle back to wait. I've passed the 60-day mark, but still nothing.

I was about to submit my application, but after seeing all the 3.8/35s getting rejected so decided to save my money since it wasn't a top choice anyway. I wonder what type of people this place accepts...

They offered me two days in October. If those days didn't work then I had the option to request a different window of time through the message center. In case anyone is curious my application was complete on 7/13 and I got the 30 day email on 8/12.

How bizarre! I wonder if that's just when they start interviewing.

Yeah, in their email they say they begin interviewing early October until mid Feb.
