hold. :cry:
Would CCLCM accept or consider a letter of intent post-interview?
man, the backdrop to that new building looks like a communist-bloc housing unit in comparison, no? Glad i don't live there. Sweet new building, no? 🙂
Это делает нас двоих.Я не знаю, что вы говорите.
🙁hold 🙁
Accepted! I checked my iApply at 1:40pm and it was updated.
I interviewed there recently. The student interview was interesting. We talked about an obscure portion of my AMCAS experiences from six plus years ago for about half my interview.
Do you guys refer to your school as "Case" for short, or did I just make that up. Can't decide if I should use that or "CWR" in my update letter. Probably being way too neurotic about this but oh well.

CWRU = the whole place
Case = whatever in context
Casemed = the medical school
CWR = nothing
CW = nothing
C = nothing, unless proceeded by A and B and followed by D, etc...

Case Western Reserve University School of Entirely Too Many Words, while my favorite, is probably not going to get you anywhere. CWRU, Case, and CaseMed are all acceptable.

How big of a component is the interview in an acceptance at case? I know they interview ~1100 OOS students a year so I was just curious about that. Is it the sort of thing that you've looked good on paper and now you just gotta ace the interviews or do they still go back and really scrutinize your app despite a great interview?
So no reply from student hosts. Anyone have a recommendation for an affordable place to stay and method to get to the interview site 😀?
Oh wow really? How do you get the interview discount, just ask for it? Sorry if this stuff is in the visitors guide/website...I haven't looked at it as close as I should have😛.
I don't think there is much of a difference between OOS and IS at case since it is a private school. It would be nice if there was though. 🙂

So CCLMC interviews 200 people for 32 slots! Those odds sound pretty bad. I doubt there is much wait-list movement for such a coveted program. I'm feeling a lot of pressure for this interview, especially since I have so few options at this point.
Can any current students comment on the kind of "fit" CCLMC is looking for? Judging by the forum, it seems like a lot of non-trad super-nerds, which is good because most schools seem to love jocks. My sci-fi trivia knowledge is decent, and I've just finished reviewing all 7 seasons of ST-TNG, so I'm good to go on that.
Breathe in...
...and out.
Breathe in...
Indeed! Diaphragmatic breathing helps stimulate the (myelinated) vagus thus increasing the amplitude of respiratory sinus arrythmia (RSA) and decreasing sympathetic tone and lots of other cool stuff! Polyvagal theory = A MUST KNOW. http://terpconnect.umd.edu/~sporges/polyvag.htm The model has implications to everything from asthma to autism to why children make faces.
Any idea when CCLCM releases decisions?
idk if this question has been answered, but i think people who have already interviewed will find out by christmas.
I know I'm probably super early in asking about apartments, but I'm just trying to get a jump on things. I'm looking for a place or area that would be great for entertaining my fellow soon to be MS1s. Back in my undergraduate years I had my classmates over all the time to eat/relax/hang out/ crash/ study.
I'm thinking, like enough living space for at least 10-15 people, closer to campus or easy to get to, nice to have a roomate(s). Is that reasonable?
My interview is in 2 days!! I saw that a few others were interviewing on the 6th also. I will see you all there!
I saw a pretty sweet house in Shaker Heights that would fit that description.
I have been doing some casual searching on Craigslist and it seems like Little Italy/Shaker Heights/University Heights have plenty of nice housing options.
Are there any places like that in University Circle? I'm looking at a map right now, but I can't tell if those other areas are "everyday walking distance" to campus. Is that feasable? Or do most CaseMed student drive in?
