I don't see how anyone could really love GWU. The old-school cinder block facilities were so decrepit, the tour guide was more apologetic than exalting. The windowless lounge was reminiscent of a dungeon. Community service (buzzword du jour) is apparently the central mission yet no interviewees expressed any interest in such. Whatevs.

i agree with you on the interviewers but i dont know what you are talking about the facilities...they are all brand spanking new and the hospital was built recently

I actually thought that the facilities were very nice, the hospital was gorgeous, and the tour guide was adorable. I will definitely put more thought into GW after my interview.

Last year when I interviewed I stayed at the GW Inn. It is extremely close to the school, an easy 2-3 min walk!

I was on hold for re-review last year, got an interview invite for Feb..and then got accepted 🙂 Stay positive! Send an update letter if you can.

There was a period when I emailed them with updates 2 or 3 times within the span of a few weeks. They just said thanks and that it would go in my file. Still on hold haha

I think sending another update in mid-Nov is fine.. try to make it an interest/update letter combined. That's what I did. I started off with how I thought I would be a good fit for the school, and the school would be a good fit for me.. then I went on to mention some of the recent updates to my application. I think the more dedication you show- the more favorable your application is. (As long as your updates are meaningful of course!)

It appears like student host isn't happening/no response yet so if there are any females (or male or other, at this point I'm pretty desperate so I'll take anyone...btw I'm a girl) who want to share a room (with two full beds) on the night of Nov 3rd (have an interview on Friday the 4th), pretty please PM me for details!

I found a room for $136 a Holiday Inn, with a shuttle that'll go directly to GW/Ross Hall morning of Nov 4th.

GW just put me on review on another date, this is a step higher than straight rejection right? lol I updated that I am currently taking biology classes at my state college, do you think they are waiting on my transcript from this semester?

Interview 1149, Accept 328 for 177 Seats

You aren't going to find out how many are directly accepted, but its ~30% or greater chance post-interview once you account for all those who withdraw.

I interviewed first week in October. And I don't think there is a patern to the timing of the acceptences so I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck!

I'm sure a lot has to do with who interviewed you and when they can meet with the committee to review your file. I'm sure some faculty may be harder to track down than others.

I found out my status by checking online. I only got an email when they received my secondary (8/2) and then another email saying my application is complete (8/11)
