Thanks! I'm really excited, I would love to go to this school! I received the notification of the screening e-mail on 7/27 but was put on hold on 8/20 until my new MCAT scores came back. My new scores came back on 09/07 and I just received the supplemental material today.

Thanks! It sounds like I might have to wait a bit longer to know the results of my screening then haha
Good luck with your interview!

Received an interview invite for 10/5 today! But I'm confused... do I have to submit all my transcripts to the Office of Admissions before my interview date???

Congrats on the interview!

My understanding is that if your current transcript is different from the transcript you sent in to AMCAS, it should be updated. Additionally they want you to keep them updated at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Hopefully that helps.

Applying here (I'm in state) - application submitted July 20, verified August 23rd, downloaded August 29th, just got my secondary on the 20th. Hoping for an interview around October.

The way I read it was that you only need to send transcripts if you have new grades not verified by AMCAS... I have an interview 10/5 too and sent a transcript from the summer, but not the spring.

Received an email requesting the supplemental materials.

I got an invite on Tuesday for 10/5, but had to reschedule. Does anyone have any experience with this at IU? Is it likely I will actually get another time or is that unlikely? The people I talked to were very vague about the rescheduling waitlist and would not give any details about my place on it.

Hey guys! I called the admissions office today and they let me know I was accepted (I was an EDP applicant)!!! They said they mailed the letters for EDP last week so they should be coming or you can call!!!

Congrats!

Now sit back, relax, and watch all of us non-EDPs fret, fight, troll, cry, and rejoice...sometimes all in the same day's thread!

Thank you! I hope that the application cycle is smooth for all the non-EDPers! Good luck!

I'm thinking Indy because that's where my family is but there are a couple other campuses that are appealing to me!

I just called and found out I was accepted too (EDP)! It's unreal what a relief it is to know already.

same boat as you, got an invite for 8/31 and they put me on that waitlist when i said i couldn't make it..so been about a month since i was placed on it so yeah I am not hoping for a new date which kinda sucks bc OOS interviews are hard to get lol

Congratulations to everyone!

I received the acceptance letter yesterday also. I'm pretty happy that we get to choose which campus to attend. I'm most interested in Indy, Lafayette, or South Bend, and I'm thinking of trying to arrange to visit each of them to help me decide, since I'll be there a long time. If anyone else is interested in doing the same thing, we might be able to visit at the same time. If you're interested, send me a message and we'll try to arrange something.

Got the email requesting additional forms on Monday. Sent everything via snail-mail yesterday. Hope to hear from them soon.

Ps- Congrats to the ppl who got accepted!

I am OOS as well. Thus far IU is the only school I have come across that has such an unreasonable interview scheduling process. Oh well, I have two othe interviews so far, and hopefully more to come! I suppose I will not really lose tons of sleep if I do not get a new time.

It still just seems crazy to give people 2 weeks notice and just assume that they can come.

Just wanted to post a tip for everyone flying into Indianapolis for their interview. If you want to save some money on your ride from the airport to your hotel, host, etc., Carey Indiana is probably the cheapest option. It is a car/limo service, but shared with other people to reduce cost. Cost is fixed at $16.95 plus tip each way (between downtown and airport). A cab will cost between $35.00 and $50.00.

Or if you're feeling like a cheapskate like myself, you could take the IndyGo Green Line. It's only $7 and gets you from the airport to various stops downtown.

shared the limo with you on the way back to the airport. just saying hi 😀

and +1 on this. cab to school cost me $40. when i was heading back, the admissions office hooked me up with carey limo services.

Also OOS that originally had an interview date assignment of 8/31 and asked to be on the wait list for a new date. I didn't think I would hear back but just got an email that I am rescheduled for 11/9. This new date works with my schedule.

I have an interview on 10/5 and am driving in from OOS that morning. How difficult is it to find and get to the interview site? And is traffic really bad in the late morning? I have been to Indy a lot, but mostly stayed around the north side of the city. I'm trying to decide how early to leave.

To all of the accepted EDPers:
The letter said to mail a written letter back to IUSM indicating your choice and whether you're accepting its offer.

So, does written mean really written with a pen or typed and signed in pen?

And, it says we do get the first picks for campus. Does this include Indy? Or would they still put us in the lottery system if we choose Indy?

. . .

. . .

Either option would suffice. I'd personally choose to type and sign in pen, which seems more professional.

Not sure about the second question.

Congrats and enjoy the chillax time before M1!

Originally received an interview invite for 8/31. Was put on the interview reschedule waitlist. Expected to hear nothing because I told them I couldn't come to that date because I was interviewing at another school. Received interview invite today for November 9th! I'm OOS. Don't give up hope if you haven't heard!

What time to do you need to be there? The Vermont Street garage is pretty close to the Medical Science building - it is pay to park but it is pretty reasonably priced. The morning traffic can be pretty bad, since the majority of students commute to the Indy campus. If you can come in on I-65 or I-70 you can get within ~1 mile of campus, but once you get off the interstate it can get bad, it just depends on the time.

Received my interview invite today for 11/2 - anyone else interviewing that day?

What time does the interview day end? The last item in my e-mail is the info session at 11:45

The email I got says the interview is scheduled to take place at 3pm. Maybe it ends around 4:30, 5'ish?

Received acceptance letter last week (09/27/11). IS, EDP. I replied to their offer with a typed letter, signing in ink. I'm going to attend the Lafayette campus. Congrats to everyone else who's been accepted so far, and good luck to everyone who's still waiting!!🙂

Well I check in at 12:15 but my interview is at 3:45. I will be coming from the north so I can get on 465 and go over to 65 to get into the city. It looks like once I get off I just have to find some parking. I can usually get to 465 in a little under three hours, but I'm not sure how long it will take from there. I was thinking about leaving at 8 and giving myself an hour, is that enough time?

rescheduled for 11/9 too! dayum plenty of us will be together, noice.

Where are you jumping on 465 at? I-69 during morning rush hour is almost always slow. Once you get on I-65 it is 15-20 minutes to the exit for IUPUI. So yeah if you got onto 465 with an hour to spare you'd be alright as long as you can find a spot to park quickly. Hope this helps, good luck with your interview👍

For those who have been accepted:
Did anyone already have an onestart/oncourse account from undergrad and notice if their acceptance was reflected on the SIS Student Center homepage? I was hoping to check online october 15th and 17th.

Does anyone have any more news on whether acceptance packets will be snail mailed out tomorrow or are they going out Monday?

^+1

If you know anything about onestart status/ mailing of acceptances, please post. Good luck everyone!

Good question. I got an email a couple days ago that just said "Acceptance letters will be mailed on approximately the 15th of the month, October through March, and at intervals thereafter as necessary." From last year's thread it looks like accepted applicants started getting their letters around the 19th but they were postmarked on the 15th.

Does everyone get this email?

If I had an interview in late September, is there even a possibility of finding out next week? I got the 'your application is under review' email.

Does anyone know if we are supposed to send a copy of our MCAT scores to the school other than through AMCAS?

No. Always send your MCAT scores through AMCAS; they'll automatically send it your designated schools.

Ok thanks! I was just wondering because on the online part of the secondary it asked us to send a copy of our scores
