At the very least, some Indiana residents and OOS students close by should hear tomorrow. The admissions office indicated that decisions were already mailed out, but she didn't specify when. I assume the packets were mailed today to adhere to the AAMC guidelines (and I doubt people went in just to mail decisions on a Saturday). So looks like tomorrow will bring good news to some of us. Good luck! :luck::xf:

When was it mailed out? And where do you live, if you don't mind me asking.
I'm IS and interviewed at the end of August. It was mailed Monday the 17th, and I live about 4 miles from the University, so I'm sure I'm among the first to get the letter.

anybody from 8/31 still waiting for results?

congrats on acceptances btw!

any 9-28 interviewees hear anything back yet?

I interviewed 9/28, and nothing yet. I guess I didn't REALLY think I'd get a decision this month , but I got my hopes up! 🙂

It has happened to someone on like page three...

He/She called and they worked it out (the interview was the correct email)...

Youre right! I have contacted the school, hopefully the ineligible letter was the error. I could have sworn I looked through this forum but somehow missed it.

It seems like most OOS are decision-less this month...

Acceptance letter for me arrived yesterday, OOS.
Interviewed 8/31.

I knew that would work  Congrats though! Now I'm curious about the rejection schedule... the email just said rejections (aka "nonacceptance" as they call them lol) go out "on a periodic basis".

Accepted IS, arrived in mail today
Interviewed 8/31
Good Luck!

So, Ive interviewed on 31st of Aug, and still havent heard back.
I am an IS applicant. I called on Wednesday, and they said there's still no decision. You guys think this is a rejection??

No, it means they haven't made a decision yet. Given how many people interview on the same day (~ 60), it will take time.

Anyone received the Tech Standard Form and Campus Preference Form?

are there any shuttles to/from any local hospitals to the school?

Has anyone who has been accepted decided on which location they'd like to attend? If so, why???

For those of you who started your interview at 8:15 am, around what time did the day end? I have a flight scheduled for 4:30 pm, do y'all think I can make that?

Also, any advice on getting from the airport to the school?

google carey limo or carey indiana. rode a cab to the school from airport, took the limo back to airport. limo = slightly less than half the price.

if you are a MD applicant, the day should end for you after the informational session, which ends around noon. if you are a MSTP applicant, the day ends for you around 5.

gl!

Much thanks! Good luck to you, too! :luck:

I just received an email that said IUSM has downloaded my primary application. I am an in-state applicant and was wondering how long it takes to receive a supplemental application and interview invite?

Campus assignment questionnaire received. 10/28. Anyone else marking evansville as their #1 choice?

I'm thinking about it, either Evansville or South Bend. I'm originally from the Evansville area.

If you receive a supplemental application, it is equivalent to receiving an interview invite. You can expect to be assigned an interview date 2-4 weeks from the date you receive your supplemental application.

kinda feel bad, indiana resched an interview for me but i just accepted at downsate (Im NYer) so there's no pt to go to this interview bc there's no way id go here over DS. wish i could just give it to someone lol..

Give it to me! Congrats on your acceptance by the way.

I chose Indy, and I just got notified that I have been placed in INDY. Reasons: More resources, more opportunities, more students..etc. Also, 3 hospitals are right on campus. I'm at IU Bloomington for my undergrad and volunteering at the Bloomington Hospital sucked cuz of the distance...was a 15 minute drive one way. You had to have a car. But in Indy, all the hospitals are withing walking distance. My interview was at one of the hospitals and it was literally a 3 minute walk from the Van Nuys (spelling) medical school building. Another reason why I chose Indy for at least those first two years (since even Indy students have to do clerkships outside of Indy) is because IUPUI is considered to be the main medical school, and so I figured the faculty staff should have a lot more experience in teaching us.

Thanks for the info. Do you know anything about the South Bend regional campus? It seems to me that they would have excellent resources as well being that it's on the Notre Dame campus.

I'm thinking about it, either Evansville or South Bend. I'm originally from the Evansville area, but my boyfriend will need to be in either Chicago or St. Louis for work/school, and those seem to be the best two options. I can't decide!!

What are the benefits of Evansville over the over campuses?

I'm not sure, it was more of a location thing for me since that's the closest campus to my hometown. (I decided to go for a more central location though and ended up ranking Bloomington and then Lafayette.) I do know though that Evansville has most of the major hospitals in southwestern Indiana, so there would probably be a lot of clinical opportunities. The doctors I've shadowed there have always been friendly. Plus the living isn't too expensive.

Any other OOSers interview on August 31st and not get notified yet or anything?

All I heard back was that my undergrad institution forgot to send my dean of students eval...a month and a half later. 😡

I hope this doesn't have an impact on their decision.

OHHHHHHH that might be it! I had the bright Idea to check with the admin office after my interview if they had gotten mine yet or not. They didn't get it until later (thank you Undergrad for taking 2 months to say I'm not an alcoholic). So yeah, if they came in late, they might have but us later in the line to be decided on.

For those of you who've been accepted, how long did you have to wait for a decision after receiving that email saying your application is now eligible for review by the Admissions Committee?

It is different for every person. Every month, they review around top 50-60 of the 100ish applicants they interviewed and push back the rest.. this keeps adding on so if you had lowish stats, chances are you won't hear back for a while. But I think the minimum time for them to respond is probably around a month and a half after your interview.

Did you apply early decision?
