How generous is OUWB with scholarships (not necessarily the full tuition, but maybe 10-15K or so)? I haven't heard anything thus far, but maybe that is because I haven't submitted my FAFSA form.

EDIT: Looking back through the thread, amanda mentioned that ~40% of her class received some sort of scholarship (not necessarily renewable, though). Not sure if that number is relatively high or low.

I was also offered a scholarship. Half-tuition, so I guess ~20k/year? Renewable for the four years as well. I love OUWB! Very flattered though I'm still deciding between this and another school.

And to have even close to ~40% of a medical school class on any kind of scholarship really is quite significant. Even if the offer isn't huge, it's not a loan so it definitely makes a difference.

Been waiting since September but still no word. Does Oakland not do post interview rejections or are they just keeping a large backup pile for after May. Also does anyone know if they are going to increase the scholarships because of the recent 20 million donation or is that going into infrastructural and staff?

I believe you guys start Aug 6 (from the interview page). We start a week later since we don't have to go to orientation.

You don't need to be on campus before orientation but you should have email contact.

Just interviewed here yesterday...wow. I absolutely love this school. Easily my top choice now. Also I have never dealt with such a friendly and helpful admissions The dean of admissions and another admissions staff stood outside with me and waited for my shuttle beacuse it was late.They really go above and beyond here.

The committee meets every 1st and 3rd wednesday of every month. I was told that most people interviewed prior to last weeks interview group will probably have a decision in the upcoming meeting.

Hmm there probably was more than one Canadian (Nov 11 interview?). I just remembered one for sure and saw that she was accepted

Their interview season is almost over. I really liked how during the winter break they gave out info, hopefully they'll do the same before spring break.
