Passed. Here's the email:

Dear Applicant,

Your file is complete and has passed a primary screening. This means you are in the pool of applicants who may be invited to interview with CMS. However, this does not guarantee an invitation and you may be invited to interview or declined an interview at anytime during the admissions process.

CMS is interviewing from September- April, with invitations being sent out via email. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,

CMS Admissions

Do a lot of people get small pooled

yup almost err body. gets real pruney after a while.

There is another one after the "complete" email concerning entering the screening process. I got this email a week ago:

Dear Applicant,

Your application has entered the screening process. This portion of the application process is the most time consuming, as the screeners have to review each piece of the applicant’s file. It is not uncommon for this process to take 4-6 weeks or longer to complete. Once your application has completed this step, you will receive a confirmation email. If at any time you wish to check the status of your application, please feel free to email us at [email protected]

Sincerely,

CMS Admissions Office

So first its the "thank you for sending your secondary" email, then the "your application is complete" email, and finally the "your application has entered screening" email.

That's what I meant by the "complete" email. The other one doesn't say your application is complete, it says "Thank you for your submitting your supplemental application and fee to the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. Your complete supplemental application is necessary for further consideration of your application."

I received another one after the supplemental email and before the screening email saying:

Dear Applicant;

This email is to notify you that your materials have been received, and your application is complete. The next step in the process is the screening stage. When your application enters screening, our office will send you an email confirmation. CMS notifies applicants of status changes through email and/or mail.

If you have any questions, please email the Admissions Office at [email protected].

Thank you,

Oh, I never got that email. I got the one about supplemental received and then the one about entering screening. 😕

So I sent in my supplemental application on July 8th, and never got the email that I entered screening ... should I contact them about this or just wait it out a while longer?

It took them a week to send me the screening email after I submitted my secondary and that was earlier than you meaning fewer applications to deal with at that time. It hasn't even been a week yet since you submitted your secondary so I wouldnt worry about it. They will get to you.

Still haven't gotten an email that I passed the screen.

Last email I got was on 7/6.

Your application has entered the screening process

^ I had initial contact about entering the screen on 7/6 too, and didn't get an email about passing the first screen until yesterday. So I'm sure yours will get here soon.

Possibly. I might not make it through though. 3.00c/3.14s/33.

Hey ya'll for those of you who got the secondary prompts could you post it for the rest of us still waiting so we can be ready when we do get the email inviting us to fill out the secondary?

They're on the first page:

At Rosalind Franklin University, we celebrate and support a Life in Discovery. Briefly describe what a Life in Discovery means to you.

Future physicians, research scientists, and other healthcare professionals are expected to work in an inter-professional environment, and Rosalind Franklin University allows students to learn in such an environment. Describe what you envision to be your greatest challenge in working on an inter-professional team.

How did you hear about Rosalind Franklin University?

I didn't get the entered screen email, but I'm wondering if this has to do with the wait for my August MCAT? I have an old MCAT that isn't too shabby, but I wonder if Rosalind Franklin will wait to see my new score before I enter screening?

yah i think most schools don't do any review until all scores and credentials are in.

If you indicate that you are retaking the mcat, at any school, they will not enter your app into the screening process.

The only email I've gotten is this

"Thank you for your submitting your supplemental application and fee to the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. Your complete supplemental application is necessary for further consideration of your application. The final deadline for the supplemental application letters of evaluation and MCAT scores is December 1, 2012. Deadline extensions will not be permitted. We recommend you complete your application as soon as possible to be given the earliest consideration."

should i have gotten something else about entering screening?

yup in the same situation here. i'm sure they're working their way through the stack, you'll probably get the screening email soon.

This is the first of 3 emails you should get after your secondary is complete. The second email will say your application is complete and the third will say you've entered screening. Then again MedPR never received the "complete" email so you may just get the screening one.

Still haven't gotten the email saying I've passed screening 🙁

Don't worry yourself too much. It's highly unlikely that this would happen on the weekend. No one is in that office sending out emails right now. So what is the deal with the 1st screening? Does anyone know why they screen once and then decide about interviews?

I'm guessing that they have some GPA or MCAT cutoff that they use to slightly weed out students. I really doubt passing this primary screen is anything special. Maybe they're just stroking our egos 😛

With med school admissions it is always a mystery. lol

agreed...I feel like they just send a secondary to everyone, then after you submit your secondary they screen out the terrible applicants like < 3.0 and <25 and then someone actually looks at your application.

I hope their auto-screen is for stats lower than mine 😀 At least one person has passed their screen though, so I'm getting nervous.

i highly doubt you will be screened out. 10th percentile gpa according to msar is somewhere in the 3.02 range I think.

Yea you're not too far off.

10th percentile cGPA = 3.26, sGPA=3.09. 90th percentile MCAT is 35 (median is 30) though so hopefully my 33 helps offset my GPA a little.

I sent a request for fee waiver via email last week but still no avail... did anyone get the secondary waiver successfully on this board?

I didnt realize that I couldnt do anything until I did this, so I didn't get around to sending the e-mail until the 07/09.

This morning, I called and left a message on the voicemail of the gal in charge of the fee waiver stuff.

I called again this afternoon and I was informed she was out for the day and that she would not be getting to them, and that the normal turn around time for a response is normally 1-2 weeks....then I got the email...

I R WUZ CONFUSED

Yep. I just emailed them, making sure to include my AMCAS ID. Fully waived.

The only email I have from RFU is the one confirming my secondary was submitted, although in it they ask me to finish my secondary. I'm guessing they meant I should submit letters soon. Hopefully I hear back soon, because I submitted my secondary in early July.

Same here....all of my letters are into amcas too

Just received the second of three emails today. Submitted secondary on 7/9

Just got an email saying my app Is complete and that the next step is screening

I received an email earlier today saying I passed primary screening.

Same..

Just got an email saying I passed the primary screening and may be eligible for an interview...but it's not a guarantee.

Any more people got small-pooled? entered primary screening in the first batch but haven't heard anything from them since...

This is making me a little nervous... Entered screening on 7/6 but haven't been small pooled yet... 🙁

I didn't get small pooled today.
