I Onix-ly hope they get back to us soon whether Wiggly-Tufts is still a possibility...if its not Farfetch'd I wanna Raichu another letter of interest before its too late
Also, see my post yesterday, RE: possibility of IIs at this point. Long story short: if you haven't gotten an II from Tufts, you won't unless someone else gives theirs up.

I thought I read something about that in our packet, but we didn't get any follow up about it - were we just supposed to send in a check to admissions?

"If you are holding a position in our entering class on March 1, 2013, we will request a tuition deposit of $100 at that time (do no send a tuition deposit now)."

So hold tight.

Any interview invitations? Anyone know if they have stopped?

None here. Also, I know that we will only get them if other people that have already gotten them give up their spots (see earlier posts)...so, don't hold your breath. Very slim chances.

Already knew this was coming a while ago, but got my official MD-PhD rejection yesterday via e-mail...still in consideration for regular MD but no II...🙁

Sorry to hear that, I know you've been hoping for this school for awhile. 🙁
Would you mind sharing when the email was time-stamped?

*SQUEALLLL*. Ok that was very unmanly of me. But I received a very nice call yesterday around 11AM PST. I'm gonna be a Tuftian!

Just got a call around 5:30pm from Dr. Neumeyer letting me know I got in! I hope I get a good financial aid package here! This is place is EXPENSIVE!!! Already sent in my stuff to their office back when I interviewed!

Completed 10/18
II 2/6
Interview 2/12
Accepted 3/6

3.4 cGPA, 3.3sGPA 32R MCAT, Took a yr off after graduation, lots of ECAs and volunteer work!

I've been thinking about this too. Perhaps this is a stupid question, but if anyone could help me out...

Adding each semester separately gives a total cost of attendance of $338,367. The average indebtedness upon graduation is $198,629. Why such a large discrepancy?

Everyone pays the cost of attendance eventually. Some people pay some or all of it while they are in school, so they do not have the entire cost as debt when they graduate.

Thanks, that's what I figured. The amount paid off is just so large I thought I was missing something.

Any Maine Track peeps hear back recently?

No, and it's killing me. Have you interviewed? If so, when? I interviewed for the Maine Track at the end of January. We were told that the committee was going to meet mid-Feb. The Maine Track adcom also consults with the regular Tufts adcom in Boston. I emailed Patti White (admissions specialist at MMC) and she responded on 2/25 with, "Applications are under review. You can expect to hear something in the coming weeks. Thanks for your patience!"

I interviewed on 2/1 and haven't heard either...here's hoping they let us know soon!

Yeah I interviewed in the first week of feb and heard nothing here either. I think the fact that someone who interviewed on 2/12 got an acceptance call indicates wait list for me..

Hey all...does anyone know when the last interview here is? I mean...I know I most likely won't be getting an II at this point...but just looking into it. :meanie:

Got the email today, deferred and remaining under active consideration. Argh. Interviewed 2/14.

Is there a Tufts Med Student Facebook group yet? Got accepted last week. Stoked.

Congrats to those of you who got accepted!

Accepted in December and just withdrew. Good luck!!

I was thinking about applying to the Tufts MBS program. Are any of you who have received invites or acceptances from that program? Thanks

I did the program and interviewed in February, and there have been many acceptances from my class so far. You can PM me if you have any questions!

I finished the MBS program last year and was accepted to Tufts in December. Let me know if you have any questions!

I recently interviewed and have misplaced the folder they gave me. From what I remember they want thank you letters sent to the admissions office. Can someone who interviewed confirm this for me please.

Does anyone have any idea why Tufts dropped 7 spots in the new US news rankings from 44 to 51? Just interesting for Mass residents since UMass now outranks Tufts, albeit it probably doesn't matter, but for a cheaper price tag and even a slightly better ranking, it makes a strong case for UMass.

This school really wowed me. Their presentations were excellent and the students were very nice and outgoing at our lunch. I think I've made up my mind and I'd like to let the school know. To whom should I send a LOI? I did a (perfunctory) search of the thread and found nothing.

I am curious as well.

Not that I truly care about the US news ranking... but what things does it look at, and why is Tufts ranked in the top 60?? I had thought it was a top 30 or 40...

you're supposed to upload it on the application site under "upload documents"

I interviewed for the Maine Track in mid-February and was deferred. I haven't seen anyone post an acceptance for the Maine Track recently.

got an II today. There are still slots for 3/18, 3/21 and 3/25 in case any of you guys are wondering.

Is anyone else who got accepted excited at that $80k price tag, and won't qualify for need-based aid? If so, do you have any thoughts on outside scholarships? Or current students (who were unable to qualify for need-based aid), how do you feel about graduating with nearly 370k as a first year resident?

AND if any current students who did qualify, I'd love to speak to you about my situation. Please PM me.
