Thanks for the input. I wanted to ask you, is there a way to learn more about the school's TBL? I tried searching the website but couldn't find anything? Also when did you interview? Are you currently/or going to be attending? Lucidity how do you like your experience there so far?

Does anyone know how many interview days happened in November and when?
 
Their twitter account says that they have reviewed interviewees from 11/8 and prior and most from 11/22 and made calls today. Anyone from 22nd hear anything?? I'm really disappointed I didn't get a call.

I interviewed on the 22nd as well and did not receive a call yesterday 🙁. But there is still hope! It seems that the twitter always announces when all the calls for the week have been completed, and that not everyone from the 22nd has been discussed. Also, no news is decent news since they always review everyone who hasn't been rejected at each adcom meeting. Hang in there! After attending interview day OU has moved to the top of my list and, like you, I'm really hoping to hear good news *fingers crossed*. Good luck goodguygreg lol

Anybody still waiting to hear back after an interview?? I interviewed on 10/11 and still haven't heard back yet :nailbiting:
 
Follow @OUWBAdmissions on twitter, they usually update on which dates they've reviewed. This was from earlier in the week: "Starting to make offer calls. Adcom has reviewed all interviewees from 11/8 and prior and most from 11/22."
 
I do follow their Twitter. I'm really surprised no one posted about getting a call. I doubt no SDNers were in the accepted group. They either haven't made all the calls yet, or those who got the call are too blissful to be on sdn lol.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you were right, goodguygreg? I interviewed on November 8th and still haven't heard anything. But the silence on SDN gives me a little hope!
 
lol for me "following" their twitter might be an understatement--probably gave it 100 hits today.

I hope those magnificent OUWB people have just decided to procrastinate on giving us the best news of our lives for a couple of days--if so, it wouldn't take me too long to forgive them 🙂.

Haha, I'm with you on that! Before Christmas would be awesome though. Plus they usually say when they have finished making calls, and they haven't this time... Hope is still in the air friends.
 
i checked last years tweets and they seemed to have sent on this day (Friday) more acceptance calls after sending some on the wednesday that same week, so I hope for the best for everyone! Maybe they do it again this year! 🙂

Interviewed 10/4 was praying for a Hanukkah miracle , but maybe I'll have better luck around Christmas time .

hey guys so I was put on hold a while ago and so I decided to send in a letter of intent. I addressed it to the lady whom notified me of my hold (Grabowski if I recall) and I sent via the document status section they have on the application itself. I just don't know if they even bothered to read it because I can't tell (like there is no response or any change to indicate they read it) I tried to find her email to send it her specifically but can't find that info anywhere. Anyone try this for Oakland? Or perhaps a different school? If so what was your experience with it?

I'm sorry to hear that you were put on hold, but that does mean they are still considering you. If you sent the document in and it says that it was uploaded, they have it on file and will get to it.

I would probably recommend against trying to email it to Dean Grabowski. Just because the OUWB has a method for submitting updates. Sorry you are still waiting to hear, if you have any further questions please let me know. Good luck!
 
Guys I need your opinion.

Oakland is unequivocally my number one choice, and not because its my only hope, I have had other Interviews that I haven't heard back from yet. I want to write a letter of intent explaining why they are my number one choice and that I will guarantee my attendance if accepted. I interviewed on the 22nd and there is a chance that they haven't reviewed my file yet per their twitter updates. Do you think I should send it now? Wait till the next wave offers go out? Or wait till much later into the cycle. I am so sure that I want to go here that I will immediately turn down any and all other future IIs. What do you think I should do?

I would definitely wait. I interviewed on the 22nd as well and i can't wait to hear back but i need to be patient and I really think you should be patient too and not make a hasty move that might be looked at negatively (since your day is not fully reviewed yet). Stay professional and wait for the letter of intent until the 22nd revision is fully over.

I do think it might come off as desperate and possibly unprofessional, which is why I posted here, lol, thanks for the advice... But there is the possibility that the letter might be discussed along with the rest of my file at the committee meeting and serve to reassure them of my genuine commitment to the school and positively sway their decision. But I guess I could send it after the 18th if I don't get the call, and it would still serve the same purpose. Ugh... if I do get rejected, the thought of not having done everything I could is going to make it that much worse.

i totally understand how you feel. this is something i keep thinking about too 🙂 I just recall from the interview day that they said not to send a letter of intent until after the final decision on your file (if waitlisted in March). That's what I believe I heard and I hope I didn't misunderstand and that's why I'm holding off about sending them any letter until at least my interview day is completely reviewed.
But I also understand what you mean, that "what if" question lol

I remember them talking about update letters but nothing specific comes to mind about letters of intent... Let's just wait till the 18-19 then take further action if necessary, but hopefully not haha.
 
Does anyone know any stats on this school?

About 3500 apply, ~ 500 interviews, 250 accepted. Class size is 125
 
II 3 hours ago, scheduled for 2/28 🙂 , complete late October
 
I just received and II from Oakland. My interview is next week and was wondering-from those who have interviewed there- what was the interview day like, did the interviewers have your file (it didn't specify online if it was open or closed) and how did you like the school?

That's an intense turn around time between ii and the actual interview date! Are you an IS applicant?

Thanks! Yes, it was. I got the II yesterday afternoon and they had next week or Feb 28th open. I think someone had withdrawn and made an opening. And no, I am OOS.
 
could someone please post the link for the secondary page for ouwb? i have deleted all my messages and can't find the link for logging in to see our status.

No offers were made today according to the OUWB twitter. Guess we all have to wait till Friday to find out.
