OMG has anyone heard ANYTHING?? It's the end of the day on the 20th, when we we're supposed to hear back, yet...nothing! Bah humbug
 
I blame SDN for putting me on neurotic phone-check duty through two Christmas parties yesterday 😛 Here's to another angsty Monday!
 
I'm not keeping my hopes up for Monday. I don't know if it really is true that people have been hearing back on other days of the week, but I was told on my interview day to expect phone calls on Thursday nights. We were also told that Stanford will be accepting less students this year bc they over-accepted last year, unfortunately for this year applicants.

I interviewed on 10/16 and got my call on a Monday evening. (12/9) I thought most in this thread had been on Fridays so I wasn't expecting it at all (especially since the business day was over).
 
Perhaps Stanford is planning a Christmas present for those accepted?
 
Hi there! This is my first time on SDN, and I have two questions that I'd really appreciate your help with.

1. What is the time delay typically for people between when they submitted their secondary/when their applications were complete to when they got invited to interview? I submitted my application in late October, but it wasn't complete until November because of one rec letter writer. I can't seem to find much data on this in the thread so far

2. When is the last interview date available - do interviews go through March, or just acceptance notifications?

It's okay guys! Sometimes Stanford likes to give Christmas presents throughout the holidays. 🙂 (According to last year's thread at least--though that was with the old director).

🙁 I think it's settling in that my app has been reviewed but I've been rejected. It's strange that no one has posted about getting an interview invite in weeks though.

The only logical reason they might not have called accepted applicants by the 20th (a date that they told multiple interview groups to expect decisions by) is that they are planning some kind of a Christmas surprise/present.
 
So I emailed Stanford admissions to find out when they are sending out decisions and this is the reply I got: "We are working expeditiously to get decisions out to our interviewing students as soon as possible. At this time you can check to see if the contact information on your AMCAS application is current. We look forward to keeping in touch. Have a good day."

When did you email them?
 
Are they going to call everyone who was accepted one by one or do they call just some of them (i.e. the most desirable ones lol) and send out snail mail acceptances to others?

Everyone who is accepted will get a call from what I understand.

I've had the sinking feeling that I've been wait-listed/rejected since the first batch of calls went out so I'm not even sure I'm looking forward to hearing back... 😒 Would love to be proven wrong though! 👍 Hoping for a bit of good news for all of us in the coming weeks!

I'm just wondering how big that batch of calls was. Didn't seem very substantial.
 
Has anyone viewing this interviewed in November? Were you also told you'd hear back by December 20 or is your date later?

Also, does anyone know of someone who didn't post their acceptance to Stanford be it your friend, classmate, etc? I know of one other person who got accepted but didn't post on SDN.

There's someone who has an MDApps who was accepted but didn't post his/her acceptance on this thread (http://mdapplicants.com/profile.php?id=28545).

There was also another person who got into Stanford (but didn't post here) and posted in the main forum asking whether he/she should go to his/her other interviews (because Stanford was his/her first choice).

Well, in light of what is happening post-interview... Has anyone gotten an interview invite lately? It's bizarre that no one has posted about getting an interview invite in over a month now.... For those of you who have interviewed: Does the interview calendar show if the January interview dates are closed now?

Just wondering, did anyone rejected by the MST program receive news about their MD-only status?

They're still on mid-January!! Wow, I guess they really haven't been sending many interview invites lately. And they only gave you ~2 weeks notice?

Thank goodness! This thread must have been silent with IIs because Stanford has been quiet for a month! It must mean there are still over 150 IIs or so left. I wonder what is going on in the back office since they should be done reviewing all of their apps by now...
