Hey everyone, just wanted to say good luck with the match tomorrow and looking forward to meeting all of you future Aggie Docs next year! If you have any questions about the school, etc., feel free to ask.

I keep checking like every 10 minutes. I have to stop lol.
 
It says I matched on TMDSAS but "interviewed" on BAMF- is that happening to anyone else?

I bet they just haven't updated BAMF. If TMDSAS says you matched, you matched. Join the group!!

Yes, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm one of the people for whom it said accepted a few days ago then went back to interviewed. I'm sure they just haven't updated it yet and it will change soon 🙂 BE SUPER EXCITED and stop try to stop analyzing every detail. YOU'RE GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!

I didn't match to A&M which was higher in my rank. Does anyone know when they will send an alternative list invite? Congrats to those that matched!

In state (TX). I just have wrong info on my app so people don't figure out who i am. 3.7/32 didn't pre match though
 
Did anyone who's status on BAMF went from Interviewed ---> Under Review match? My status changed to Under Review today but I am an OOS so I was not involved in the match. Just trying to figure out what it may mean or if those people who's status changed to Under Review may be those who were waitlisted...

Not sure, I just know that I checked my status, it said under review and about 5 minutes later I received an e-mail about being placed on the Alternate list.
 
I'm hoping for 4 yrs temple due to 1) residency connections 2) family proximity 3) continuity. Although I'd love to do peds at Dell Children's in austin or Cook's in Ft Worth but thats a different issue

I'm also planning on the 4-year Temple track. Scott and White is a huge, busy hospital with many opportunities (the school is based out of the hospital). Also, I'm non-traditional and couldn't picture myself in CS for another 2-4 years.
 
I'm leaning 2 B/CS, 2 Temple. I like the campus atmosphere present at CS, yet wanna get the benefit of the Temple clinical side
 
In about a week or so you'll be asked to write why you'd prefer which campus and rank your choice.. Some write a paragraph, some a whole page ( I wrote a paragraph) and the school tries to accommodate your first choice.. I think it's not until the wait list that people usually get their second/third or even just get told their campus designation. The school considers everything though, from family and emotional support to financial considerations, career goals and outside obligations.. so write it all down 😎

You'll all get a rainbow packet soon with paperwork and logistics.. seriously many skittles died to bring you this info.. and that always makes this all seem more real. Congratulations again!!
 
OOS waitlisted today. I really liked this school. Can anyone give insight into the waitlist? Does the school waitlist everyone that they don't accept. Do I have a good chance at being accepted off the waitlist?
 
just wondering, how do they figure out the order of the waitlist? any way of knowing if we are at the top vs bottom?
 
also to those on alternate list, any ideas about what to write for personal statement?

No they don't wait list everyone.. I don't think anyone really knows how they rank the waitlists but probably similarly to the match orders. I think (and I might be wrong here) you get the opportunity to write another personal statement at some point, so that may factor in as well. ...I believe there's usually a lot of movement around about May time before the deadline for Texas schools to accept only students without Med school offers. Sorry Dude, more waiting.

Damn, a good friend of mine said he ranked it as 1 and got into his #2 school. do letters of intent help?
 
I don't know… I wrote an update letter as well as a letter of intent Nov/Dec before match and I sent it directly to Filo. I felt like I made a good connection with him via email so I really felt like this was a positive thing and have said so before on SDN. Now, I'm not sure. The more I'm involved in the process and the more I see, things like letters aren't supposed to impact committee decisions.. there's too much subjectiveness as it is. However, in saying that, if I was doing it again, I would do the same thing..It made me feel like I was doing something, even if there was a one a zillion chance that I might be seen in a new light I wanted to take it…….
