I think last year's thread said they aim to interview between 200-250. I think that there were about 52 total acceptances for the 32 spots.
 
Does anybody have information about the percentage of acceptance after an interview for the University Track only. US news says about 50% but that's for all the tracks combined I'm assuming.

If I remember correctly, I think the numbers presented in last years thread were like 1050ish for all tracks combined. I'm quite sure there were 200-250 for CCLCM, and that the percentage accepted for UT was 51%. So I figure 800ish interviews for 410ish acceptances.

Anyone remember what day we should hear for UT interviews in Sept? Is it the 15th? 16th? Did they tell us?
 
To anyone who has interviewed: what time do you get out typically? Wondering if I can catch a 6:45 flight.

You should be able to make that flight no problem. My afternoon interview ended at 2:30 but even if you have both interviews in the afternoon you should be done by 3 so you should have more than enough time to get to the airport. And there wasn't much of a wait at the airport - I got through security in under 5 minutes.

My interview day over around 4, but I was able to catch the train to the airport and make my 6:15 flight! So it's very possible!


I will run this race... And prepare myself for life ahead. ☺️

I think they announce the first round at 2 AM on the 16th. I looked back to last year after my interview and that seems to be the "Case" - 🙂
CW UT is the first interview I did and I hope the 16th ir correct. Really like to knwoif I am going to eb a doctor

I think they will announce the first UT round at 2 AM EST on the 16th if Hx holds. Looking back the last two years that seems to be the "Case" - Sleep deprived sorry 🙂
I'd think all September interviews' are in that decision bin. Good luck! I loved Case Western.

Thanks! I think last year there was different wording on the traffic rules and it was unclear whether it meant on or after the 15th. Regardless, their twitter says tomorrow! :soexcited::barf:

Really? I am in on a break in an interview and fly home tonight -- I have been very lucky but I have to say I hope I get accepted to Case Western - making Pluto2 the master of the obvious. 🙂

The application screen still shows:

"October 16, 2014: per AMCAS, first date that acceptance notifications can be made to the general application group."

I do not have Twitter ATM - what does the Twitter feed say? Good luck and thank you!
 
Rejected from UT this morning. Complete late july.

It may be appropriate to communicate notifications of decisions other than acceptance to medical school to applicants prior to October 15.

IDK, With all due respect to the Twitter post and its source "the definitive source", the Hx of Case and the published traffic guidelines suggest badly needed sleep may still be the best plan for tonight.
What we know for sure is that in less than 36 hours this post is moot.
 
Anyone have luck securing a student host? I'm not really keen on paying for three nights in a hotel... but nobody is responding to me about hosting!

I got one ASAP like 10 minutes after. I wrote a little bit about myself... maybe I just sound that great? Try picking different people.

Yeah I didn't get a status update, so I'm assuming not an acceptance. Hoping for a waitlist/hold rather than a rejection...

To those who have not heard anything:
According to last year's thread, those who interviewed prior to or on 10/8 may need to wait 4-6 weeks for a decision. It seems like the next batch is released around 10/30.
 
So for those who haven't heard anything at all: what does this mean? Are we waitlisted or deferred? Should I expect to hear anything formal today?

I don't think that's what it means. I think this was just the first day they could actually send out acceptances.
