Have any of you alternate list-ers received confirmation after accepting your position? I'm looking at you, @sunflower18 & @ProbablyAPenguin .
I'm interested in the MD/MA in anthropology too! I'd recommend emailing Dr. Lawrence Greksa who's the chair of Anthropology. He's very helpful.Does anyone know if CWRU School of Medicine still offers an MD/MA dual degree in Anthropology? I was perusing the dual degree page and noticed that it was listed on one webpage but not another, making me think that it might have been removed. Any help is most appreciated! Thanks!

That is an awesome match list!Wow.
I withdrew and still got placed on the UT alternate list. I'll consider that a victory.
To be fair, I withdrew via email only a few days ago. They may not have gotten to my email yet.haha, withdraw again!!
I do - it looks like it's just to begin the financial aid process, which they say in the alternate list email that you should do if you want to stay on the list.Does everyone on the alternate list have the "Acceptance Portal" tab on their iapply page?
Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone know how we submit our tax-returns/w2 forms? Is there an online mechanism or does it have to be via email?
I emailed mine--they advised me to redact the first five digits of all social security numbers.
Some are rejected post interviewSorry if this is a dumb question, but does CWRU take everyone who was placed on hold post-interview (who haven't withdrawn) and place them on the waiting list, or have some people been placed on hold and then rejected? Thanks!
Some are rejected post interview
I can't say exactly but I think people are either rejected or put on hold post interview. From the hold you are evaluated again and can be put on either the actual alternate list or rejected. Not everyone goes from hold to alternate list.Sorry, I didn't phrase my question properly. What I meant was that I knew people were rejected post-interview, but have people been rejected after being placed on hold post-interview? I am just sort of confused why Case puts people on hold post-interview and then later puts them on the alternate list. It seems like most schools just directly put people on their waitlist if they aren't accepted or rejected post-interview.
Did all of the UT alternate emails go out yesterday morning or have they been doing it in bunches? I see other "alternate list" posts but I think they're about CCLM. I got my email yesterday but my friend who was also on "hold post-interview" status did not receive an email - is that a reject or just another delightful quirk of the process?
Well according to USNews, about 475 people are not accepted post-interview (however, I think this includes UT and CCLCM). So the number might be more like 400 for UT, idk. I'd say nearly everyone not accepted post-interview gets invited to the waitlist (I haven't seen anyone on SDN report a rejection post-interview), and most people will accept that invitation. So I would guess that the waitlist is around 400 people. Best case scenario, they take like 10% of that.Got the waitlist invite and so did all of my friends who were placed on the hold post interview status for UT as well. Wish we knew how many people were on the waitlist (or even our rank) so we could at least get a minimal idea of our chances.

Does anyone know the deadline to accept the financial aid offer? Thanks.
Sorry to hear this, @Eppur Si Muove and @CLE216. I'm pretty sure I will be sorry for myself as well, pretty soon.Same
Thanks and best of luck to you.Sorry to hear this, @Eppur Si Muove and @CLE216. I'm pretty sure I will be sorry for myself as well, pretty soon.
Thanks for taking the time to post. Definitely gives me hope at this point 🙂Recently withdrew from CCLCM, which means someone on the alt list ought to be good news!
CCLCM is an utterly astounding program, but I had to do some serious soul-searching to determine if I was cut out for their unique curriculum. In the end, I didn't think my personality would be the best match. I want to thank all the current and past CCLCM students who shared their insight, as it helped me make a more informed decision. 🙂
If there are any UT people here, I would really appreciate it if you'd let me know the range of need-based aid offered to students.
Did you receive an e-mail when your financial aid package was put online? Or did you receive it via regular mail?
EDIT: My award was put on the financial portal and I did not receive any notification. So if anyone is waiting on their award to make a decision, I suggest you check there! I am in agreement, this is by far the worst aid I have received from any school. I will be withdrawing this week...hopefully someone with deep pockets gets my place!
Case financial aid is set up so that you take the cost of attendance and subtract full amount of government loans and whatever efc they come up with is. They cover what is leftover with 60 percent grant and 40 percent more loans from Case. Honestly it was the worst need based aid I received by far. I hope others had a better experience.
Thanks man. I wasn't aware of that formula used. I presume there aren't any outside need based scholarships people get nominated for that helps curb that loan?
Not that I am aware of. There are the options of signing away a few years of your life with NHSC for a scholarship or the army or something along those lines. I don't know the details, but someone in the financial aid office might be able to give you more information.
Thank you Sahmoc. you know I will actually take that into consideration provided the service commitment seems reasonable to me. I'm not very pumped about taking out a large loan.
But thanks for your insight man.

Hi! I did not see an award letter on my fin aid page. Would you mind sharing where exactly you found yours? Thank you!
