Yeah...I was kidding.I didn't get one and I am interviewing there soon. Don't fret.
Good luck with your interview!

So excited for everyone who got IIs! Congrats!!! When is everyone interviewing?
O
October 27. You?
The interview is super relaxed. As most people say, it's really just a conversation to see if you'll fit well at Creighton. One of the first things my student interviewer said to me was "I don't care about your grades and scores because if you've made it to the interview, you're a strong enough student to go here." It's an awesome school and all the students seem really happy there.
Also, I did the student host program and would recommend it to any future interviewees. My hosts were extremely nice and welcoming and it gave me the opportunity to talk to way more students about their Creighton experience than I otherwise would've had.
I thought they only interview on Fridays and Saturdays??
Hi! Did you stay for the "Dutch Dinner?" I'm trying to schedule a flight that leaves at 7:30 pm on Friday night- not sure if I should wait and fly out the next morning so I can attend the dinner?
Just sighed up for 11/07!So excited for everyone who got IIs! Congrats!!! When is everyone interviewing?
II today! Complete kind of late on 8/29
They interview through the spring too right? I am still without an II (anywhere) and thought I had a good chance at Creighton. Now I'm starting to worry that I'm in trouble....
No, I'm OOS actually. This does seem pretty late compared to the other posters. Are you IS?
I apologize. October 24.
Do you guys think it's too late to send this school my AMCAS? 3.2/30 URM
October 31st interview! Super excited!
Also on the 31st. Going to be an interesting Halloween.

I'm super interested in Creighton! Looks like an awesome school. Still waiting for an II, OOS, secondary submitted 7/10, Lizzy M ~70 (still haven't received any II from any school with most of my secondaries submitted end of June to beginning of August. It's starting to make me think my e-mail is broken..Hi! I am an in-state student and I have my interview October 3! My secondary was completed 8/21 and I got an II 9/13. I live in Omaha, so if anyone has any questions about Omaha, just let me know!
So where do med students typically live? And what is the cost of living like?Hi! I am an in-state student and I have my interview October 3! My secondary was completed 8/21 and I got an II 9/13. I live in Omaha, so if anyone has any questions about Omaha, just let me know!

I've never been to Nebraska before, and if I end up going to Creighton, where are some areas to avoid living? There's a place close to where I live called Rose Park that has super high crime (ie: a kid was shot in the leg in his bedroom because a gun went off outside and through his wall. Same week a gun went off in a parking lot and hit someone standing in their kitchen..) but they occasionally on renting websites there are housing listings that look nice from the outside and doesn't really represent the area, so I don't want to end up in the 'Rose Park' areas of Omaha 🙂 I have a wife and young daughter, so the quieter / safer the better. 👍
Unfortunately, I don't know any current Creighton medical students, so I am not sure where they tend to live, although there are many apartments nearby the university (and more being built) so I am guessing they would tend to live fairly close to campus. The cost of living is extremely reasonable (of course depending on where you are coming from and where you want to live). Obviously, downtown is more expensive, but I have a friend who is living in a two-bedroom brand-new apartment building on the top floor (higher ceilings, more expensive) and he pays about $600 a month. Of course you can live in a ritzy apartment downtown or at Midtown Crossing and pay much more than that, but for student living I would say about $350-500 is the average range, but it depends on how many roommates and house vs. apartment and where in Omaha. There are definitely less expensive places. So where do med students typically live? And what is the cost of living like?
The area by Creighton isn't actually dangerous (the overwhelming majority of Omaha is safe), but it's not quiet or beautiful by any means. If you have a wife and daughter and want to live somewhere pretty and quiet, you'll want to be about 10 to 15 minutes west of Creighton. The exception to that is the Dundee area, which is close and nice/safe, but the prices are more expensive. The homes are gorgeous and very family-friendly, but the apartments will be full of college students. Safe, but kinda noisy. If you want a more suburban feel, you'll be looking at around $650 - $850 for a 2-bedroom apartment, depending on finishes, square footage, and if you want a washer/dryer in your unit. I live in a 2-bedroom, 3 story townhome and it's $920 a month plus pet rent. 🙂I'm super interested in Creighton! Looks like an awesome school. I will be attending the Open House on 10/4 and have identical stats. I submitted early July, as well... Hopefully this week brings us good news! I have the same thinking. Let's just say it can't hurt our chances and it will allow me to learn more about the school IF I am lucky enough to get an II. It's about a 4 hour drive for me. I haven't heard about the Open Door one-on-one sessions. Seems like a great opportunity! This might be a ridiculous question, but is anyone planning on going to the Open House offered on 10/4?
I submitted my secondary in the beginning of July and have not heard back about an interview at this point in time. I have below-average scores (sGPA 3.7, cGPA 3.6, 29 MCAT) but excellent ECs that align with the school's mission/values.
My thought is that going to this event and potentially meeting an AdCom might help my chances for an interview. It is about a 6 hour drive for me, but I will absolutely go to the Open House if it seems like an advantageous move. Anybody have any thoughts on the matter?
Additionally, has anyone attended the Open Door one-on-one sessions with an AdCom member? It's offered on most Thursdays-- any feedback?
Does anyone know if Creighton is responsive to "in the area" requests?

So question, when sending an update, do you just address the admissions committee and write it as a letter? I know this is kind of a dumb question, but I just wanna make sure I do it write... Ha. For example, do you think they'd want a list instead of letter format or does it not matter?
As others mentioned, there are really great places to live that are within 10 minutes of campus. Going north of Creighton more than two blocks from the edge of campus at night probably isn't a great idea but the Dundee/midtown area would be great, especially if you have a family. I don't think it will be too pricey to live in Dundee as my fiancee and I lived in a great 2 bedroom town home in that neighborhood for slightly less than $800/month and had great amenities and walking distance to the great bars/restaurants of the neighborhood. I would highly recommend Dundee if you are looking for a family-friendly atmosphere that has tons to offer and is a 5-10 minute drive to campus. It may cheaper to go further west but you'll be more removed from the parts of Omaha that have the most to offer and it gives you a better feel for the city, in my opinion.I'm super interested in Creighton! Im OOS with a 29/3.72 and I've been technically complete since 8/3, but didnt get my second MCAT scores until 8/26.... Heard nothing yet except for that open house invite (which I wont be attending). Really hoping this doesn't mean a "silent rejection" for me-- Creighton is my very first choice for med school, I love its mission and the students seem awesome. I feel like I fit really well with their values. I really enjoy service and have a ton of hours on my app, which I heard they like. but I am starting to worry. BUT I know it's still "early." What I wouldn't do for an II though!complete since 7/13... assuming silent rejection
