An II? On Labour Day? Dartmouth, you are a workhorse!

Really stoked to revisit New England and I have heard nothing but glowing things about this school. 😍 The people Dartmouth accepts seem to be exceptionally interesting people, so I'm excited to meet my fellow interviewees.

Congrats... If you don't mind when were you complete?

Thanks! Hope you get some good news soon! Got the complete e-mail 7/21.

For all those who recently submitted their secondary, I sent my in on 7/9, so I think it takes them a little while to mark you as complete.

fwiw, I submitted my secondary on 7/22, but my committee letter wasn't uploaded to AMCAS until 8/19; Dartmouth was one of the first schools to mark my letter as received, and I got the complete email same day (8/19)!

Have a question for you all - when filling out the premedical requirements, did you list all courses you took that could satisfy the requirement or just enough to fill out the required credit hours?

They give a million slots for some reason..

Tsk, tsk, Superdoc! We do not permit negative self-talk here!!! I'm kind of familiar with Hanover. Let's make a date for breakfast at Lou's, an awesome bakery always crowded with the appreciative. We can do this at the interview or later, when WE BOTH GET IN!! Seriously, you have to keep knocking at those opportunity doors. And stop putting yourself down! Who you were. . .okay, that's who taught you to be who you are. (And by the way, although I call myself (justifiably) "Bengali Brat," my mom likes to "brag" that she is "a fifth-generation redneck" (and joke that her "kin" are upset because she married my father when so many of her cousins were ready to court her!) America is great, and you can be part of the proof.

Just teasing about Keggy. I can never believe that he serves as a mascot and emblem! (But many at Dartmouth are very fond of Dartmouth and all he embodies! Sorry, Big Green, but you know that it is so!)

I am wishing you your choice of schools and a chance to give all that you have to give. Physicians should not (I believe) be all born into privilege. Hardship really does build compassion, don't you think?
You are right Bengali Brat, no negative talk here. Thanks for the inspiration!! I absolutely agree, I would say that one of my biggest strengths is compassion.

Anyone interviewing this Tuesday (9/9)? Interest in meeting up the night before?

Hi guys - how long was your application under review before you heard anything? Thanks!

Nice! Have you booked your flight and hotel yet?

Agh, no I have not. It looks like the closest major airport is 90 minutes away, and the flights are just not matching up. It looks like my stay in Hanover might be 3 days...

Have you had the chance to book anything yet?? If so, any tips?

I'm flying straight into Lebanon Municipal the day before, which is not far at all from the school. It's more expensive, but saves a lot of time. PM me if you have any questions.

Take the Dartmouth Coach from the Boston Logan Airport. It picks you right up from the scheduled bus terminal, and the vehicles themselves are very comfy.

That's the spirit. I like that better!

I applied here yesterday... 29 y/o nontrad, good ECs, what I hope is a compelling personal narrative, and decent MCAT...bad GPA. I'm hoping for some non-trad love!

Everyone interviewing here: where are you planning on staying?

Had to move my date way back due to chaos in the workplace and the admissions staff were very accommodating! Extra cookies for Dartmouth.

Kind of sad I'll be missing the changing of the colours, but still stoked for my visit. Time to prepare for the upcoming chill.

Hey all! Just came back from the interview and found a cheaper and closer place to stay in town on AirBnB. Her name is Rosa and it was the perfect place (walkable distance to interview). She is a med student too and has lots of tips for interview. Good luck everyone! Top choice for me.

Hope everything went well! Any tips you can give for those of us with upcoming interviews?

Hey guys based off earlier responses in this thread it seems that secondary is given to everyone pre-screening, is that correct? thanks

Thanks! The interview was so casual. It really was a few simple conversations. It was really nice to have a couple days in Hanover to really feel it out, and to participate in the current students parties/activities.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken but I don't think interviews start until tomorrow since that's the earliest sign up date for current students to give tours and I'm pretty sure we only conduct interviews on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Yeah... iluvmypk is a troll. Below is their post from 2012-2013. :troll:

{Accepted! Yipee!!
I interviewd on Oct 18th.
Complete August 01st.

Good Luck to you- I know you will all be great physicians.

Also, a nugget of news- I believe the admissions comittee deliberate every Thursday for ranking.
Good luck! 🙂

Six South St Hotel in Hanover has a $98 rate mid week - really nice hotel off main street.
Cost between the shuttle and flying to Lebanon is not that huge, but saves time.
Not that I have a II for Geisel mind you. I have a family member in the undergraduate college.
Good luck!

Does anyone know how far out interviews are scheduled at this point? Mid October, or later?

Any ii's this past week? I'm anxiously waiting to hear from Dartmouth.

Does anyone know how to get to the school from the Manchester airport?

? - as in shuttles?

Sorry. I should have been more specific. How do most people get to the school from Manchester airport? Shuttle, Taxi, Bus, rent a car. What's the easiest way? I'm used to super shuttle but I don't think they have service at that airport.

I was able to reschedule mine to Ocotober 21st. I think that's the latest date I was offered.

I only know BOS - Dartmouth Shuttle, or Lebanon. Sorry.

Complete email mid July and my status page has been sitting on: Your secondary application has been received and is in process.
No II, though ever hopeful 🙂

Does anyone complete and also ever hopeful have a different status?

I got an II at the end of August and my status is the same as yours! I know it's easier said than done, but be patient and try to avoid checking portals. It's probably a coincidence, but I didn't get any IIs till I quit neurotically checking school portals and my email. Dartmouth was my first invite and a very pleasant surprise. Good luck and hopefully you hear some good news soon 🙂

Oh me too - I have been very fortunate in my II's but I really do want to go to the Geisel School. Good luck but don't get accepted twice 🙂
Funny enough, I do check very often however I saw your post and complete date and had to look!

Does anyone know if Dartmouth sends out rejections alongside IIs, or do they just hold on to your app until the end of interview season?
