Is LLU your first choice? Congrats on getting accepted. FYI: I interviewed on the same day as you 😉
I'm like, 95% certain I'll end up here. I love this place.

I believe I can be of assistance on this one! I have interviewed twice here now so I know a fair bit but not as much as a student would, obviously. They are completely pro vaccination. During interview day the dean made it clear that if you don't get vaccinated, you will not attend the school and not have a career in medicine. I think that the only rule they are really strict on is the alcohol policy. Other than that they don't really care too much about what you do. Even thought the campus doesn't sell meat or caffeine, everyone brings it to campus and no one cares. Hope that helps!I did not apply this cycle because I wanted tot retake my Mcat, but am planning to apply this coming cycle for fall 2016.
I guess I just wanted to know a little bit more about the school since a lot of you have interviewed there or have more knowledge of the school than I. I was wondering what the school's stance on vaccinations was? As well as, how strict or they on lets say having a significant other (you are not married to) stay over on or off campus? (Not important to some, but I am on the east coast. It comes in to play when people have to visit me and have nowhere else to stay. Hotels are expensive!)
Thanks guys.

Thank you for answering. That is what I got from looking for information on my own, but I wanted to be sure. I write about vaccines in my personal statement so just wanted to make sure it wasn't going against what the school believes in.
Anyone know the answer for my second question? Please and thank you. 🙂
For DO and MD schools in the US this is correct. No medical school that practices evidence based medicine would be against vaccines. It's not a selling point, it's a given.
I am so excited to be attending LLU. When I answered the call and realized it was Dr. Roddy, I was so shocked I don't remember how the phone call went. All I remember is her saying "accepted" and "You'll get a packet in the mail." 😀
Does anyone who has been accepted know approximately how long it takes before the official letter/email comes in? I'm beginning to doubt that I got the phone call at all. 😛

you'd contact them to let them know. keep some internet around you - or at least visit a local internet cafe if at all possible!I interviewed with LLU nov 25 and am still waiting to hear back from them. I will be in Zambia for the next 2 months If they can't reach me by phone, do they try another means?
I totally understand. I thought I was dreaming - but the (909) number was still in my phone's history. It takes about 2 weeks for the packet to come.
I got an email within a week. When I got the call, it was from an unknown number but it was definitely her. Did it take 2 weeks to get the email as well?

Based of last year's timeline, here are the dates (+/- 1 or 2 days) to mark on your calenders for acceptance calls:
December 18, 2014 (already past)
January 16-17, 2015 (already past)
February 12-13, 2015 (already past)
March 12-13, 2015 Next big date!!!
Last weeks of March- Rejection letters in mailboxes
April 9-10, 2015 More acceptances and waitlist notifications also go out
These are all based off events from the last couple years. I do not know how the new AAMC traffic rules and dates will affect these dates. LLU is pretty consistent though; I successfully predicted that LLU would send out acceptance calls around January 16 of this year, which is exactly what happened. Hope all this info helps you all.
Thank you so much!!! This definitely eases my nerves. I really hope to get into my top choice!! 🙂
I'm just curious if anyone's got a vague idea of how many spots are left (if any) to be filled? I got an II today and since it looks like I'll be in the last round of people considered it just seemed like something to look into.
Thanks!

All I know is that Dr. Hadley said at the last LLU Open House they only interview around 400 people a year.
I'm wondering about IIs too....I sent an update in early February. I am a re-applicant and I submitted a very detailed letter of intent/update in early February. I don't want to give up hope but this is my dream school!
I didn't know they were receptive to pre-II updates. Which email address did you send it to? You guys think it's too late to send one in?
I did.Oh ok, thank you @JRaae! Did you use this email address to send your updates [email protected] ?
I did.
People, did you get IIs on snail mail or emails?
Nothing here. But last time I posted that I didn't think acceptances were going out, someone posted their acceptance like 2 hours later...Okay, I know I'm the last one that posted on here but has anyone heard anything? Did acceptances go out last week?
