I mailed in an update a couple months back and also no confirmation of receipt... Need to send another one about a new job. Did you email or mail?

I sent in my grades and a letter from a professor via email and received an email conformation about 2 weeks later.

Quick question: Are you part of Idaho WWAMI that is starting the new curriculum/timeline (i.e. 18 months in Moscow)? Or are you doing 2nd year in Seattle?

We are the last class to do first year in Moscow and second year in Seattle. This fall (E-15) will start the new curriculum and stay in Moscow for 18 months.

Are you a WWAMI applicant? Because judging from last year, only WWAMI applicants will get updates February through Mid-March. All "regular MD" applicants will have to wait until Mid-March when they'll be having a final meeting that will consider all remaining applicants. I know it's tough (been there last year), but those still waiting on a decision should try and relax and enjoy the month before then.

I interview 1/23 OOR they said we will hear back 3-5 weeks
 
I interviewed on 1/21 at WWAMI Spokane and I have not heard anything yet! I am really anxious! I love UW and I love Spokane!! Agh!! I have a feeling the next EXCOM meeting is going to be next week. I heard they have them in the middle of the month. So we'll see!! I don't know how I feel about my interview - I think some was good and some was not so good.. so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

How did everyone else's interview go?

If it makes you feel better, I thought my interview couldn't have gone worse, but I guess they noticed something I didn't and it worked out in the end. Don't overthink and enjoy the time in between!
 
when should accepted students start looking for housing (and putting down a deposit and all that sort)? I am asking because I'm planning to be out of the country in April-May, so I am just trying to plan my return trip back to the States. Thank you in advance!!! 😀

Anybody know where to find some UW SOM apparel? The bookstores pickins are slim.

The bookstore or wait until the next MSA fundraiser when they send out unique apparel. That should happen in a few months. It's kind of expensive but the money raised pays for our intramural teams, happy hours, wellness activities and other things that we have.
 
Is there a medical or graduate student resource to connect students to find roommates and living arrangements? I know there's university housing, but I would like to explore other options.

We used the facebook page. But you also have to wait until site placements come out to decide on living situations. I know one person in my class made housing arrangements in Seattle after being accepted and then was placed in Pullman. Then they had to cancel their Seattle plans and move to Pullman. It's just easier to wait for placement and then use the Facebook page to get roommates or see where others are living.

Speaking of site placements....so when do we actually find out? I vaguely remember an email saying sometime in March (late March, I'd assume, after the SUC --> accept/waitlist/reject so accepted students can fill out their "why ___ site" descriptions).

i was told late March/early April. Sigh, just let me know already!! lol.

Thank you!! I interviewed 2/3/15. We had interviews from the 2nd to the 5th and they called accepted applicants the 6th.

I recommend calling about it at this point (206.543.7212). The staff is very helpful and I'm sure they could find out for you.

I sent grade updates in December, then resent them with another update in early Jan and never got a confirmation. Called the office but got a voicemail to which no one ever replied. So I'm not sure either but counting it as ok for now.
 
Does anyone remember about what time of day they received the acceptance phone call? ^-^

When I was accepted, I got the call around 6:30 PM. I remember that because I was out at a restaurant eating dinner when I got the call from a 206 number.

Same for me ~6pm, on a Thursday.

I was kind of hilarious, my EXCOM member was trying to hold a conversation with me and I was essentially a vegetable. My mind was so blown.

Do they only give acceptance phone calls to non-Washington WWAMI applicants? If I were to be accepted as a Washington state applicant, would I expect an acceptance email?
 
Do we think today will be for TRUST applicant acceptances already? Or regular MD acceptances? They were interviewing all week in spokane for Washington TRUST spots. I'm going to be on edge all day. And right before Valentine's day...I'll just gorge on Chocolate all day tomorrow either way I guess.

They call WA residents too. Email confirmation came like three days after the phone call.

Oh my goodness you just made me laugh out loud so hard while sitting in the library!! I am waiting to find out about my WWAMI - MD interview from 1/21... I am totally feeling the exact same you are - ON EDGE!! oh man... where is that dang chocolate when I need it... ;-)

Not sure, but I believe (could be wrong) most WWAMI and TRUST offers are given out in February and SUCs from here on out will be decided at the last meeting in mid-March.

I wanna say about 2pm EST, but I missed the call and had to call back because I was only expecting a crushing rejection email.

Ditto. I was screaming internally and I had to make sure the conversation really ended before I started screaming externally. I'm glad the neighbors didn't call the cops.
 
Is there any OOR students interviewing on Jan 23 got a phone call today?

What do you mean? When you log into secondary you can't scroll down and it doesn't tell you the status of things like "contact information : received" ? Mine has not changed.

I'm starting the chocolate fest now. Whether or not they met remains to be seen. But I need me some chocolate! Maybe I'll even buy myself flowers; however I'm not going to see 50 Shades of whatever his name is alone. So I suppose Sleepsless in Seattle will have to do! Crossing my fingers for all of us out there in pergatory. I hope we all make it!

I guess today wasn't the day... Until next week! I know they are doing interviews on Tuesday.. So we'll see!! :-|

Hey everyone!
I interviewed on Tuesday (2/10) for the TRUST program and Friday night I got the acceptance call!
My guess is that now with TRUST interviews done they should have an EXCOM meeting soon.
Very excited to meet you guys, and good luck for those waiting...
