Anybody know the post-interview acceptance rate here? Thanks.
Yup still silence here on my end.Any people not get that financial aid email and still Pre-II?
Yup still silence here on my end.
Yea apparently they are sending their last few II's this week and next week and then they are done. Maybe we can snag the last two though lolhoping it means good news but doubtful this late in the cycle I guess
Same here. Really urgent Financial aid memos!! Too funny, now how about an II, so I have a reason to fill out the FAFSA for Emory.Emory's financial aid office has sent me more emails than the schools who've accepted me. But no II![]()
That data is hard to find. The majority of accepted students (top candidates) will accept other offers (yield 20-30%), many II on hold will withdraw, and many offered a waitlist spot will decline. If they interview 675 and say 300 remove themselves from consideration they could admit 250 of 375 applicants. But no one knows these numbers. If 400 withdraw they could admit 250 of 275. My best guess is schools know how the numbers shake out and don't want to waste their time interviewing more students than they need to to fill the class. Low yield schools interview more students than high yield schools.
During the interview, the admissions staff was very adamant about us not sending thank you letters to them. But does that apply to thank-you emails to the interviewers? For those of you that interview/ got accepted, did you not send any thank you letters at all?
Yeah I got one last night too. I'm confused. Are they interested or are they just leading me on?!Is this a sign from Emory, if we get a Financial Aid email? They are blowing me up, lol. Now, I just want an II 🙂.

The wait is a struggle!![]()
Nah, I doubt the email means anything. So many people received if and if they were only sending it to people they want to invite for interviews, they would have just sent us a II. They almost definitely will not be sending IIs after next week, so if I do by some miracle receive one I will have time to fill out the forms anyways. For those who do not have an II but have not yet been rejected (i'm not sure if any rejections have even been sent out?), are you planning on completing and submitting the required paperwork and profiles? I just checked and the due date is March 1st. I'm not really interested in taking the time to do so as I have more or less given up on my chances at Emory. That said, i'm very open to peer pressure to combat my laziness on this front.
They told us on my interview day that they are P/F and no ranking for preclinical. Can someone who interviewed here confirm whether or not Emory is P/F? Do they still have letter grades and test every Monday?

Impressed by the campus, and by GradyI'd love to hear some opinions from any current students or people who have interviewed! Is there anything about Emory that seriously impressed you while you were there? What about things that you didn't like so much?
A noncompetitive and very friendly environment in which I immediately felt at home. Grady is so diverse and will be a great place to gain experience. Close proximity to the CDC provides good opportunity for research. Pass/Fail for the first two years. The Discovery period... I can keep going 🙂I'd love to hear some opinions from any current students or people who have interviewed! Is there anything about Emory that seriously impressed you while you were there? We NEVER have Monday tests! That would suck. Tests are on Fridays, every 2-3 weeks during healthy human (beginning of school year until Thanksgiving), then every 4-5 weeks during human disease (Thanksgiving until the end of preclinicals). It depends on the length of the module. But yes, it's true P/F (technically "satisfactory/unsatisfactory") with no letter grades. Can someone who interviewed here confirm whether or not Emory is P/F? When does Emory stop giving out invites?
BumpWhen does Emory stop giving out invites?
The last day for acceptances from Emory is March 7th. Meaning you would have to interview before then (within the next two weeks). Which means they probably have 2 or 3 more interview days left. Which means they are *probably* finished giving out IIs, unless someone drops out last minute, in which case they'll most likely try to give it to an IS student.Bump
Does anyone know where most Emory medical students live? I am looking on the "graduate housing" website and it seems like the apartments around the campus are fairly expensive! I'm hoping to have my own place while in medical school, but that seems like it might be unreasonable with the cost of rent.
alright folks it's up: https://www.facebook.com/groups/181989848842621/I was thinking about making the class of 2020 FB page, but unfortunately I cannot make a group without adding at least one person. So if one of you all would like to help me out just send me a message and we can get this thing started!
Hi all, I just joined SDN. I was interviewed at Emory early January, and was waiting for them to respond. Nothing yet, checked my account but no new tab for Admission Acceptance. Anyone with good news today? Thanks
