since 7/19 baby.
11-9 as in last week 11-9?!!! WTF lol
I wish you the best of luck, buddy! 😀I know!!! Unbelievable, yet feel so incredibly blessed!! Lol.
Not sure if this is of any help to you but last year 1150 people were interviewed, 320 were accepted and 178 matriculated, so I assume they pull a decent amount from the waitlist
Those are the statistics from the US world news subscription, I would assume that's including those off the waitlistWhen you say 320 were accepted, are you including the waitlist then? And thanks, that's encouraging!
Is anyone a current student (maybe M3 or M4) that could advise whether or not a car is necessarily for rotations in the clinical years? I know that the GW hospital is right next to Ross Hall, but I saw that the affiliated hospitals are located throughout the area and some seem like a car would be necessary. Also, do you have to do rotations at affiliated hospitals?
Thank you! I was so nervous during my interview I completely forgot to ask that.At my interview, they told me that cars would indeed be essentially necessary for rotations during clinical years. Sometimes you need to be at the hospital by 5 and the metro isn't even running yet

How about for M1 and M2? Do people usually have cars living in foggy bottom? I have a crew cab Ford f350 with a short bed, so I'm worried about parking.

You'd think that if they weren't going to consider me, they wouldn't even have made me fly over for an interview...
I really love the school too and thought my ECs demonstrated good fit, but I guess not :/
So bummed out...
Interviewed late September, waitlisted last week 🙁
This stinks! I heard they waitlist many many interviewees...
Hang in there everyone!! Fingers crossed...
That stinks, I'm sorry. GW interviews almost 7 people per seat -- there are definitely a lot of waitlisted people . Other schools have a better yield with interviewing 2-4 people per available seat.
Yeah thats true. They may be waiting for April 1st where they can see all your acceptances. If you're accepted to Harvard, Yale or some other top 20 schools they know it's no sense wasting an acceptance since you'll likely go elsewhere.
With your numbers I'm sure you'll have many schools clawing over you before long!
I wonder what % of interviewees they accept outright vs what % of acceptances come off the waitlist. I know these numbers aren't available, but it would be interesting to see. I have the US News and World Report subscription, so I can see that they sent out 320 acceptances last year for 180 seats or what not - but it isn't broken down by waitlist, etc.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I was curious to see if anyone else who interviewed the week of October 5th-9th has heard back about a decision yet. It's been just about 8 weeks and my portal still has the same "Thank you for interviewing with us" status as of this morning.
Why does this school have such a long turn around period :'(I just interviewed on Tuesday and we were told 10-12 weeks so I'm not sure if that is their new timeline for everyone or just us.
Accepted today! Interviewed 9/17!!!! Super excited!
They gave me a date on the email, I believe it was 2 weeks after I got the email, and there was no deposit required, which was nice. Thanks 😀How long do you have to accept the offer?? Major congrats!
But you can hold as many acceptances as you want until April 30th, which is especially good for people like me who are sitting on waitlists and want to see what comes of them. How long do you have to accept the offer?? Major congrats!
+1; submitted early augustStill on hold for re-review since September....:/
