Interesting that we aren't seeing a huge wave of rejections like we did earlier in the season. Mayhaps your rejection is akin to the canary in our doomed coal mine, the first casualty of a big group soon to come.
 
waitlisted this morning- interviewed 11/5 and sent a letter last monday. any current GW students on here that could give us an idea of the # in your class that came from the waitlist?

I'm thinking there are probably a few? And I'm sure there are some that aren't on SDN too, who might still be waiting.

I hoping the second week of November will hear back this week.

I think they are still on the first week of November, unfortunately... and who knows what kind of delay Jonas might have caused...!
 
I have a feeling we won't receive decisions today like we do on most Tuesdays. According to the GW campus advisories website, operations resumed at 10 am this morning, meaning they probably haven't yet gotten a chance to deliberate on applicants. Unless they decide to meet and send out emails today/this afternoon.

Hello! I'm new to SDN! I got an account because I'm super confused. Interviewed Oct 17 but I haven't heard back from the school since then. I noticed people who interviewed much later than I did are starting to hear back. Is this normal? Should I contact the school?

October 17th was a Saturday though
 
Does GW send out more than one wave of e-mails per day about post-interview decisions?

The letter of interest. That's another thing I'm not totally familiar with. What do people usually say? How much do you guys think it helps? And when is the appropriate time to send one?

I sent one around the 10 week mark and got a response the following week and will send an update/letter again in a few weeks so I don't get lost in the waitlist. They seem receptive to it from the waitlist email and since the portal page is mostly dedicated to updates and adding files

I sent in my unofficial transcript and my GPA from last semester. Only because of what the website says.
I also sent a letter in early December talking about what I did since my original application. And mentioned that I'm still very interested in GWU, yada yada.

There is a post earlier in this thread saying that the only person advocating for your acceptance is you!

A 1st year I talked to told me that a lot of people get off from the waitlist, and that many people her year were waitlisted, but I don't have an exact number for you. Sorry! Hope that helps to relieve some of the nerves.
 
Sorry to interrupt those who have already interviewed, but does anyone know if interviews are still being given out? I've been on re-review since September.
 
I think Snowzilla has slowed down our decisions…damn you global warming!!

I keep telling myself that once this application cycle is over I'll regain my sanity...then I remember I was never sane to begin with because I wanted to go to medical school...

Denied pre-II today. Was on-hold before. Good luck to all you guys still in contention!
 
Rejected today as well after being placed on a pre interview hold. .

Surviving several rounds of rejections used to give me a sense of hope. But now, since this has happened with numerous schools over the 6 months that i've been complete without any of them turning into IIs, i'm simply taking it as a sign of how senseless this all is!
 
Maybe I should submit an update...I haven't submitted any updates at any of my schools, but if they're really still considering me here then maybe it would be a good idea.
