On the original email they sent. It said they send our secondaries on Mondays and Fridays
 
Yeah, it's somewhat confusing. Because when you call, the operator says that they send them out once a week, after August 22nd.

I agree- I was disappointed to see that.. But since they have such a huge reputation of enrolling disadvantaged students they probably wouldn't make enough money.. Just my guess??
 
I'm running into the same issue regarding the English course requirement. At my university, we're required to enroll in a 1 semester intensive writing course (RHET 1302). My degree plan then required me to take a scientific-based writing course (I saw that this in particular wouldn't fulfill the requirement). Would this put me out of the running for Howard? It's one of my top choices. URM here 🙂

Does anyone have Howard University's match list for 2015? I've emailed admissions asking if they could provide it back in June, but no one ever got back to me... wondering if anyone here has access to it? Thanks

How should I answer this......talk about my community service work and why I want to continue after residency????........After residency, do you plan to practice medicine in an underserved or disadvantaged community?
 
I received an FAQ email last week, but I still haven't received the secondary, should I be concerned?
 
Anyone know the max length for the essays (word/character count)?

Hi hexane19! As far as I know, there is not word or character limit to the secondary essays. As always, succinct and potent should be the goal =) Good luck!

I'm white and i applied here-- but i'm from an underserved area and want to go back to the same type of area and this school's main mission is to provide physicians who want to do that-- which is also my main goal. If you're not about that, why would you even apply?
 
can someone post the essay prompts? also are there word limits?

Are these all the questions for the secondary?
 
Anyone else having trouble clicking on the radial buttons and the boxes for the essay prompts? I tried a couple of browsers and it's not work for me. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and figured out how to fix it. Thanks!

Yes! I'm having the same problem! Led me to get on SDN this moment. I'm also not seeing all the essay prompts...just "Please provide below any additional information you believe is important in evaluating your application (e.g. additional coursework, problems with academic record; disadvantaged, etc.)" 😕

It's working for me today, and I didn't do anything to fix it. So maybe it was just a glitch last night?

Thanks! I just submitted mine. It must have been a glitch.

My application status now says, "Your application is ready!"...Does this mean my file is complete or has anyone received an actual complete email?
 
wait Howard requires a full year of English?? I cant submit my secondary because I left one of the English boxes blank....should I just use my AP high school English course?
 
looks like I got my secondary 2 weeks ago... it was sitting in spam lol
 
Complete as well. They say they have interviews end of September so would it be fair to say that those who receive the complete email first should receive II's, and or rejections within a week or so?

I'm going back and forth between emailing the office and waiting until after the holiday. I guess there's still a possibility they'll email us the link tomorrow, but I just really want to submit already! 🙁
 
what is howard policy on classes(pre-req) taken at CC
