Just write something concise and meaningful
Thankyaa!there is no limit. my own general guideline is ~page long/2000 characters
Postbacc is invite only. There are rumors they are thinking of getting rid of it all together. Lets hope thats next year.Do they offer the post-bac to those who interciew only?
I was wondering the same thing when filling out the secondary. Seemed like they were trick questions to me...It seems like this school is REALLY about primary care and service of the underprivileged.
However, the secondary asks you to rank your reasons for an interest in medicine, whether you are interested in primary care, and where you would like to work (small town, larger metropolitan area, etc)
To be honest, the whole thing seems like a trap LOL, cuz it seems like there is an obvious "right" answer to each question.
Has anyone had success getting admitted after indicating an interest in specialty practice in an academic setting?
If you mind sharing, what were your stats?I also had a low MCAT but high GPA and I received my secondary today. I hope that that does mean our credentials were approved.
Am I the only one struggling with ranking the type of medical practice you contemplate practicing? Would it be frown upon to put undecided as my #1? cause I really don't know yet
no way to check, they will send you an e-mail when you are complete, that means they received itAfter submitting the secondary, is there anywhere to view if your LORs have been received?
Anyone with MSAR know roughly how many white applicants they have accepted in past cycles? I submitted the other day, really hoping for an interview.
Thanks for that, appreciate it.
I personally know several people who interviewed with scores of 20-23. 24 or ~500 should put your MCAT on the low end of their aggregate of matriculants from the last few years for those who don't want to share. Average matriculant had a 26.7.If you mind sharing, what were your stats?

I may; what kind of information are you looking for (ie what do you mean by match list)?Does anyone have a match list from and recent years? Im a Non-URM but I like this school for its focus on the underserved.
Im curious as to how previous classes did matching into residencies and to which one they went into.
"I could give you a list showing the proportion of students entering each residency field. Is that what you want? "
Yes, please. That is what id prefer.
only 68 blacks?...They must not know its hard out here lol
oops I thought it's suppose to add up, but maybe that's why! What's a duplicate Asian?
No, it doesn't make sense to me either. Adding up the Asian categories should give a number ≥ total unduplicated Asians... At least that's how I understand it.oops I thought it's suppose to add up, but maybe that's why!
I think a duplicate is one that has already been counted in another sub-race category. Lets say my mother is a Vietnamese and my father is from mainland China. I could be represented in two different sub categories although I am one person. What's a duplicate Asian?
I think its clear they evaluate the whole person. For people who are worried about stats: you should not. Instead of focusing on people with the best stats, they focus on those with what they believe is the right motivation for wanting to become a doctor that can also pass the boards. In addition to having a strong interest for helping the underserved
