Can someone post where to check your application status? I am not really finding an informative place online for SUNY Buffalo

You're welcome, best of luck!Thank you!
Waitlisted just now after interviewing 11/18. I LOVED this school, very sad I can't start planning for next year. I know that others have said that a significant number of waitlisted people are eventually accepted, are those primarily accepted in April or is there substantial movement before then?
Thank you!If last year is any indication, waitlist movement starts in late April and continues until late July/early August.
Post-interview? If so, on my interview day Mr. Rosso said decisions are gonna be one of: Accepted, Waitlisted, or Not Accepted.Does anyone know what the different categories are when checking your application status?

same here with "secondary application submitted" statusPre-Interview
Mine says secondary application submitted but not "under review" or anything like that. I submitted a while ago ...
If I remember correctly, it's secondary submitted > interview scheduled > post-interview decision. It never said "under review."Pre-Interview

Mine were done earlier than 5:30, and I was one of the last people left in the waiting room. You can e-mail Mr. Rosso beforehand regarding with your flight information, maybe they can accommodate you and try to have your interviews earlier so you can make your flight. During my interview day he did say they understand people are trying to catch flights after the interview, and if I remember correctly he asked if anyone had flights that were leaving at 5, 5:30, onwards. They definitely take that into consideration. Can people that have interviewed here comment on whether or not the interviews actually run until 5:30pm (as per the II email)? Most flights out of BUF are around 6 or 6:30pm, and given that you have to check in an hour or so early, I'm wondering if it would be cutting it too close.

No, not yet. It has been unusually warm here in Buffalo this season (my neighbor is seeding and mowing his lawn today), so my guess is that people are outside enjoying the weather. I know that members of my department are currently MIA.Has anyone been rejected pre-interview yet?
Any OOS received acceptance post-interview at UB?
May I ask if this is the direct decision or after being put on the WL?yes, two months ago

It was a straight acceptance; I think email is fine. Best of luck to you 🙂Does anyone know what is the preferred method of sending thank you notes to the interviewers? (Mail/ email? sending to the admissions office or directly etc?)

No, not yet. After viewing last year's thread, the first two batches of rejections were sent out in early December and January. For some reason, this year, all schools seem to be behind. The good news, however, is that whoever is rejected pre ii is now only 7+ months away from another chance to receive an ii.Has anyone been rejected pre-II yet?
- finally, please don't ask me the night before your interview to tell you all about the school and Buffalo. I'm happy to answer questions, explain the process, and proud to talk about UB, but its not appropriate to fly across the country and decide that you will count on me to prepare you for you interview.
...
I love hosting students and talking to perspectives but have been repetitively disheartened by how unappreciative and disrespectful some people can be. This is a great way to get some perspective on the school before your interview and to limit costs associated with the process so please take advantage of it. That being said, remember what your mother taught you!
Yea I was complete in July and haven't heard anything either. Waiting patiently though lol. I did reach out to them if I could update them on what I have been doing since and they told me that they only accept updates if you're invited for an interview.I was complete in early August and haven't heard anything. I think many, including those complete in July, have not heard anything. Don't know what is going on this year, as it seems the haven't rejected/held anyone

+1The wait is B-R-U-T-A-L, i was completed in July and still no word!!!!!!
Since UB has not yet sent out rejections, the silence can mean one of three things:complete in October, still waiting, hopefully this means good news?
Since UB has not yet sent out rejections, the silence can mean one of three things:
1. UB has not yet reviewed your application.
2. UB has reviewed your application and your application is currently in the rejection pile awaiting to be included in a mass rejection purge toward the end of the cycle.
3. UB has reviewed your application and considers it mediocre (i.e. you are in a hold pile...if that even exists).
On the positive side, the longer they wait to send decisions, the closer we are to another application cycle. Keep your head up and remember that neither your quality of life nor your success as a human being depend upon receiving a medical school acceptance. There are plenty of amazing people who are not physicians. Go be one of those amazing people until your dream comes true...because as long as you remain persistent, it will happen. I sound like an after school special, but it is true.
This year, UB is taking their time. A professor told me that they are trying to recruit a delicate balance of students who will either: 1. Wear their UB white coat into Wegmans; 2. Leave their UB Med lunch bag on the table while 'studying', so that they can look up every half-second to see if any passerby is staring at the lunch bag; or 3. Walk around campus with their Littmann adorned over the neck (no...it doesn't matter if you know how to use it yet). UB wants no more than 2 of the aforementioned 3 in each student...so hopefully you can understand the delay. I kid, but I actually did have this conversation with some faculty this morning. It honestly feels like nothing has happened at this school in months lol
same here but I wonder if it'll help or just be thrown away 🙁I'm thinking of sending a LOI at this point even though I haven't gotten an II
