Accepted ! IS LM low 70s!
Yea, I thought this part of the curriculum was interesting as well. When I asked Dean Rosenthal about it on my interview day, she said that there is a larger and larger emphasis on clinical correlates in the Step 1 so that was their justification for moving it. It will be interesting to see Step 1 Averages when the class takes the Step 1.Does anyone have any thoughts on doing the entire "3rd year" electives before taking step 1? I can't decide if this a pro or a con, and the first class of the new curriculum hasn't got there yet.
9/11Would those accepted mind posting the day you interviewed?

Maybe I'm analyzing too much from a small sample size, but CCOM's turnaround seems ~1-2 weeks faster for OOS than IS applicants.
I think the higher the stats the faster the turnaround time for OOS. I recall they evaluate and count OOS differently and they said not to give up until they small pool in January.Maybe I'm analyzing too much from a small sample size, but CCOM's turnaround seems ~1-2 weeks faster for OOS than IS applicants.
OOS, complete since 7/23, and still "under review"...anyone else in the same boat?
Should we be worried since interviews end in January?![]()
OOS, from Washington State.
Anyone accepted so far with a LizzyM score in the 60s? I am IS and interviewed 9/25. I am assuming I have not heard anything yet due to having lower stats.
I wish that I could just call them and tell them that I would take this school over my state school.
^anyone wanna answer this? Their website says theres a shuttle to iowa city to the airport (and back) for $75, I couldnt find anything about it...Can anyone who interviewed tell me how they got from the airport (Cedar Rapids) to the campus, and from the campus back to the airport? I was planning on using uber, but it seems its very hard to catch an uber around UIowa.

I assume there arent too many ubers sitting around in cedar rapidsI rented a car. There were also a few taxis sitting around.
I see, I guess that's my safest bet. I'm under 25 though, which rental company did you go through if you dont mind me asking?I rented a car. There were also a few taxis sitting around.

Don't lose hope yet! More likely to be final pooled than waitlisted at this point. They accept a large portion of their incoming class from this pool so a delayed acceptance may still come your way in March.Yep, it's been about 8 weeks of silence for me. I think I've been waitlisted.
That's what they said on my day too, but I was accepted 3 weeks later. OOS. It was a pleasant surprise.Yeah I'm OOS and heard back within less than a month and I thought they said it would be at least 6 weeks based on what they said on interview day, unless I'm mixing my schools up here.
OOS, My LizzyM is mid 60s and the decision only took 3 weeks, so I think the process remains elusive.I think the higher the stats the faster the turnaround time for OOS. I recall they evaluate and count OOS differently and they said not to give up until they small pool in January.
Gonna tell myself the adcoms didn't meet due to Thanksgiving. But, based on previous year's threads, the first couple weeks of December should prove fruitful. No news yesterday?
I'm an average OOS applicant, interviewed mid-October, accepted mid November. There is hope, but they are looking for a good fit.If I am OOS and have been quite for a long time, is there any hope for me? Please give some average applicants some love haha
Congrats 🙂 If they haven't rejected me yet, then maybe theyre still considering me? Any updates on that form your interview?I'm an average OOS applicant, interviewed mid-October, accepted mid November. There is hope, but they are looking for a good fit.
And the golden hour has passed. This Tuesday feels more melancholy than Tuesdays prior...starting to wonder if I'll be swimming in the final pool.
Going to delude myself again with another reason why the admissions office has (remotely plausibly) slowed down. Last Tuesday I assumed they didn't meet due to Thanksgiving; this week I'm envisioning them having an early Christmas office party lol.+1 :|
