Anybody know what month they're scheduling interviews for currently?
So no one here has been rejected from Duke yet?
Last year people got silent rejections around September 25th and early October
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/2015-2016-duke-university-application-thread.1134899/page-16I believe they only do silent rejections (pre II)..in their secondary email, they said something along the lines of if you are not invited for an interview you will not hear from the office of admissions again

Post #766 - that's what I mean...they found out via the portal
lol.... I was about to call then read this....my patience is being tested!Just heard the super long voice mail message of Dr. Armstrong lol
I emailed them one.I may have missed this somewhere, but is Duke receptive to update letters or nah?
To what?yeah sorry thats what I meant by silent, like they dont contact you...your status just changes
To what?
With regards to the secondary, how much did y'all vary the topics/situations you talked about? The problem is that my most significant life experience (teaching via Teach For America) is basically a perfect fit for like 4-5 of these essays, so I'm struggling with whether or not I should keep talking about that, albeit with very different examples, or think about other experiences I have, though I think those are weaker examples.
Yep, I did. I ended up varying my essays, though.Out of curiosity, did you end up getting an II?
II today! Complete mid-October
OOS, LizzyM ~77, not URMStats? IS or OOS? URM?
II today! Complete mid-October
Thanks! There were a bunch throughout November and DecemberCongrats! What dates were there to choose from?
I emailed them one.
Yep I used that oneIf you don't mind me asking, what is the email address to email updates to?
I emailed mine to medadm but I don't know if that was correct.
Have not sent my update just yet! I was waiting until I enrolled in classes for my last semester at college before I did so. I applied to 11 schools scattered across the East Coast.@TheBoaLady did you send them an update? how many schools did you apply too?
Hi all,
I just got an II and am curious for scheduling purposes if Duke has rolling or non-rolling admissions?
Thanks
Interviewed today and they said the first Friday in March, so March 3rd it is this year!Non-rolling. All decisions go out on March 1.
Website says Feb. 13th is the end of interviews.Threw my hat in the rung here today! (barely made that secondary deadline 😉)
Any idea when they interview until here?
Yeah, between 3:30-3:45 was when mine was done. Took about 25 minutes to get to the airport due to a little bit of traffic.Does interview day end at around 3:30 or abit before? Hoping to book an early-ish flight out of RDU
Sent from my iPhone using SDN mobile
Only post-interview updates are accepted, afaik. Is there anywhere to send app updates?

Complete 08/01. LizzyM ~76. OOS. Non-URM.
Hey guys, neuroticism speaking here. I read through the thread and there was mention of silent rejection, but a rejection status on the Duke portal. Does Duke communicate rejection as they go along through cycle via the portal, or does one only find out at the end of the application cycle?
Thanks in advance!
They do silent rejections via portal throughout the cycle. The applicants rejected at the end of the cycle are mostly the ones that have already been interviewed. They may have changed the process though.Does anybody know the answer to this question?
Does anyone know if they like their own graduate students? My sister is getting a master's at duke, we were wondering if that will help.
From last year's thread there were rejections via portal all along starting from September. But haven't seen any rejection reported here yet this year. Not sure if it hasn't actually started or if people here haven't reported.Does anybody know the answer to this question?
I'm an alumnus here from the graduate school (might be able to tell from the username haha). Duke has a reputation of liking its own, as most if not all undergraduate applicants receive a courtesy interview when they apply. Unfortunately, I don't believe this courtesy extends to graduate students from what I observed and have heard from speaking with current students. If I'm incorrect though, I'd love the pleasant surprise!
