Hope you're safe and everything is well, hamsterRejected; complete 11/2. Got the email just as my school (OSU) locked down because of a shooter lol.

Rejected. Whatever I don't even need y'all!
=( same.
Every rejection tears a part of my soul, it's the same feeling I get when being rejected by a girl!Rejected. Whatever I don't even need y'all!
I don't take kindly to rejection haha

Yeah I totally feel you. I just look at it like it's not meant to be. It's fate! Hopkins was a top choice as well for me but we can't expect interviews everywhere - I think this is the most "difficult" pill to swallow as people who have been over-achievers their entire life (for the most part lol). But congrats on your acceptance, think I saw you on another school thread! Awesome school you got into.In both cases, it's especially confusing when you feel like you have a lot to offer. I do feel fortunate that I have an acceptance to a different school though - makes it more bearable though. Hopkins was a top choice going into this but their lack of reciprocity leads me to think I might not have been happy there anyway.
Amen. The over achievers type can get an interview at every top 10 school but 1, convince themselves that 1 was a top choice, even though realistically every top ten school was, and be sad lolYeah I totally feel you. Hopkins has always been my #1. It's hard because all my friends and family know this is where I wanted to be more than anything, plus living in the area isn't great either lol.
It's weird because I thought I had a chance here but thought I didn't have a chance at other places that I got interviews at. This process is confusing. I'm just trying to be happy about the interviews I've had. Unfortunately, I had a late app so I won't hear back about post interview decisions until end of January, but I imagine having an acceptance in your pocket lessens the blow! Congrats.

Not to try and butt in on the sad announcements that came out earlier today, but historically rejections came out after the first acceptances in December. Does anyone have any idea when we might hear back if we were in the first interview bunch for decisions?
Last three years have been Dec 8, Dec 12, and Dec 12.
The admissions director during my interview day said that ~mid-December was likely but that they may come out earlier.
Sorry about the rejection too, it's definitely tough when you like Hopkins in particular. I've felt the same way about the process - I've gotten interviews from the majority of schools I've applied to, but others have rejected me, some of them quickly. But these schools know what they're looking for and they're pretty good at seeing a potential fit in your application so I'm sure you'll be able to end up at a place where you can be the happiest med student you can be!
i am sorry to hear that, when were you complete?Rejected via email, good luck to everyone else still in the running!
Rejected -- so much easier to take now that I have an acceptance into my State School.
Mid August
The wait is killer
OMG are you serious? Freaking outttttLast 3 years it was released on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday of the second week of Dec. hoping it's today.
That's some intense snooping. 2 hours maybe! From what I can find the last three years they released decisions at 1:20 pm EST December 8, 1:05 pm EST December 12, and 12:56 pm EST December 12.
