Anyone know what the timeline is for hearing back from Green Bay post-interview?

2 weeks gone, entering 3rd week of waiting. Think about this probably everyday hoping for MCW acceptance >.<

Please make my dreams to become a doctor come true...no more II's rn!

T-countdown 8 more days!!!! Ekkk >.<

I just got an II for the Milwaukee campus (complete back in August) - IS. The interview dates available aren't until mid-February.. I'm going to go of course, but that late in the cycle arent the odds pretty stacked against me (won't most offers of acceptance already have been given)? Eeeek

Does anyone know if the social sciences prereq has to be fulfilled with a psych or sociology course? Or can we use a social science from a different department?

You can send a class syllabus to admissions or the registrar and have them take a look at it to see if it meets the requirement, but I actually had the same question (I took a lot of anthro but my psych credits were AP) and the answer was no. So, I'll be taking psych class over the Spring. 🙂

Which is fine with me. I need to keep my mind sharp during my gap year.

Darn! Well ok thanks for the response, I guess I'll be taking a psych class as well!

T- 3 days....please MCW accept me and make it the best birthday gift I could ever receive >.<

Ugh! I know. At my interview day all the current students told us it took them a week and a half or two weeks to hear back so I didn't think I would actually have to wait till the 16th. It couldn't come soon enough.

Absolutely still hope for you all. I submitted 7/1 last year LizzyM 72. II 2/16; accepted about a week later. Deferred to enter 2017 maybe we'll be classmates 😉

Thanks for posting! Would love a II from here. I only applied to Milwaukee campus, do you think that lowers ones chances quite a bit?

The regional campuses are small, a condensed 3 year program, and primarily targeted at training rural medicine specialists (so they like people from the area). So I doubt it would impact your chances, they're meant for a very specific type of student!

Anyone who submitted in September hear about an II? I know they're behind...hoping to hear something soon. Thanks!

For the group that interviewed on 11/18, they said we would find out 12/16 (today).
Oh... I was under the impression they turned things around in a week. Bummer. Haha. I was looking forward to hearing back from them! I guess its back to waiting...

Waitlisted at Central Wisconsin this afternoon. They told us they would be waitlisting a sizeable group, so this was expected. Still praying for eventual acceptance at my dream campus in Wausau!

I got rejected from one and accepted to another so I would disagree with this as a rule unless you heard it directly from admissions.

Did you get denied at a regional campus and accepted at Milwaukee? How long was it between the denial and interview invite?

Yea, I interviewed at the regional campus first, heard back about a week later with the rejection, probably waited ~2 weeks for the Milwaukee invite and interviewed within another couple weeks. I'm a WI native who would like to stay and practice in Wisconsin tentatively. However, I was raised in a Milwaukee suburb in that Chicago-Milwaukee-Northern Indiana metropolis, and I definitely got the sense in the regional interview that they were looking for someone who had experience working or living in a significantly more rural community. I think in retrospect that the main campus was the better option for me.

They never said anything during the regional interview to indicate I would receive an interview at the main campus. I've only heard on sdn (and not from admissions) that the adcoms for each campus actually chat with one-another, so I'm not convinced it's the case. I think they have separate committees that review independently.

Hope this helps!

It does! Thanks!

Does anyone know anything about the MSA at MCW? All information is welcome. Also, I'm kind of puzzled on whether it is offered as a choice to all applicants or whether they randomly select people to interview for it even if applicants never indicated any inclination toward it. Thanks!
