How will we know if we've been deferred, email/portal update? Trying to patiently wait for my 4-6 weeks post-interview to roll around 😱

Received it too. They use a really fancy paper. I was wondering if there's any info about merit scholarship, but as liquidsodium said, it's pretty much the same thing as portal and email message.

According to previous threads, accepted students found out about merit scholarships in March (after filling out FAFSA, etc.).

So it is more or less like a need based scholarship than a merit one.

Well they hand out both merit based scholarships and need based grants according to their website.

has anyone who has been complete since early September received a pre-interview rejection?
 
I'm so surprised I haven't heard from this school yet. I've done research here and I received a secondary fee waiver (not because of financial reasons). I'm so confused, I thought I'd get an interview...

Silence here too -- LizzyM 77-79, lots of research. The last II last year was 1/23, so there is still time!

If you don't mind me asking, how was your experience doing research at Feinberg and how would you rate your overall experience there?

do they do silent rejections? complete since july so maybe safe to assume the outcome i think...

I loved it there! The location is perfect and I met some amazing people who were so helpful and kind. It's one of my top 3 schools which is why I'm so disheartened that they won't give me an II ):

interviewed here yesterday. yes, the day of the cubs parade and rally - right near campus. 7 million people. miracle that i made it out to the airport in time for the flight. loved the school. loved the city. traffic is insane.
 
Accepted via portal update as well! LizzyM 74-76 and interview date was between Oct 15-20. So happy, I really liked the school. Congrats to every one else and good luck to those who have been deferred! I've heard they accept most of their class later on so keep your hopes up!
 
Anyone else have the line in their application status about being complete and under review disappear in the last day? Now only the first sentence is there about having received applications and letters of rec. I haven't received an II btw. Just wondering what the status change might mean

Mine changed in the last 24 hours as well. I haven't received an II either but love this school so hoping it doesn't mean anything negative! Good luck to you!

Mine changed as well! I feel like that means a silent rejection or an interview invite coming soon...hopefully an II! Good luck!!!
 
For those who already interviewed... Just to confirm, they said to not send any thank you letters right?

Correct. I did not send any and was accepted.

Came on here to ask about this as well...it makes me think that some sort of decision has been logged and they're waiting to send them all out together. Or I could be driving myself crazy, haha. Either way fingers crossed for some news!

oh boy. if they are sending them all out together, that just sounds like a hold/rejection waiting to happen rather than an interview invite 🙁
 
Looking through all the past threads, there seems to be no mention of pre-II rejections before February. Nor is there any indication that this weird status change stuff happened before. Thoughts on this being a positive sign? (I really wanna go here if you can't tell)
