I interviewed here on the 25th and they said they were hoping to get all admissions decisions out by the end of February and hoping to get merit scholarship awards out the first week of March.

Any deferrals hear back whether they were accepted, continued waitlist, rejected?

I just got that email too. Interviewed about a month ago and still waiting to hear back. I wouldn't read too much into it

also interviewed about a month ago and didn't even get the email...maybe this is a sign Northwestern doesn't want me at their institution in any form 😛
 
Second Look Weekend is the same as Michigan, I was really hoping to be able to go to both 🙁

I interviewed 1-13 as well, still haven't heard anything yet :/

Thanks! Yeah ultimately it was an email, although it was kind of a funny story. I first got a save the date for the second look and wasn't sure if they sent that to everyone who interviewed or just those who were accepted so had a minor heart attack then and then got the acceptance email about an hour later. Still haven't gotten the official acceptance in the mail yet even though the email said something like "Congratulations again on your acceptance" and "We hope you have now received your official acceptance". But I accepted the offer through the portal.
 
Decision delayed until March. Interviewed early January.

I interviewed the first week of January, and received an acceptance just this past week. I know some people received their acceptances just two weeks after their interview, so there seems to be a lot of variance in when acceptances are sent out. Could just be a simple thing like alphabetical order, maybe? Anyway, if you see that other people have gotten acceptances here and you interviewed on or near the same date, don't give up hope.

Northwestern was far and above my top choice, and I am incredibly happy that things worked out.
 
Any idea on when deferral decisions will come out?

Same lol. There were a few people last year with late interview dates that found out like the day before the deferred people. I don't know what to expect here
 
Did anyone receive a confirmation after completing the financial aid application?

Nice! Yeah I'm not sure yet either, but I'll probably have a better idea in a month or so!
 
are deferrals supposed to here back today (according to last year's timeline)?
 
I think Northwestern releases their decisions on Mondays typically. Perhaps we will hear back on monday?
 
Just got an email to save the date for second look but haven't gotten an admissions decision yet from my interview...the email made it seem like they were sending it only to accepted students...anybody else get this email who hasn't received a decision yet?

Check the portal maybe? My portal changed way before I got the accepted email.

Great advice - just checked but no change (also interviewed within the past few weeks so haven't reached 4-6 weeks yet). I'm gonna assume it's something similar to the newsletter they sent out to keep from getting my hopes up!

same thing happened to me! i interviewed about a month ago and haven't heard anything yet either (and no portal update)
 
I wonder if this is happening again...someone mentioned a similar sounding situation in a previous post. Do we know if they only send save the date for second look to accepted students?
 
Another relevant question is, has anyone not received the second look save the date?

+1 got the save the date, but no change on portal. Interviewed a month ago.
 
I didn't get the email, but I was deferred a while back and waiting for post deferral decision
 
Check portal, check e-mail or check snail mail for admissions decisions
