Has anyone who got an interview invite and scheduled it on their interview portal not yet received a confirmation email from the admissions office? The original interview interview email says to wait until you've gotten a confirmation email to schedule your travel arrangements. But it's been almost a week, and still nothing from them... They haven't been returning my calls either...
 
Also, sorry if this has been asked before but is the "CAS ID#" just our AAMC #?

For me this is incorrect. It shows those for the earliest upcoming dates but when I search "earliest possible date" or anything else the only slot that comes up as actually available is Nov 4th

Whats the general idea about post interview acceptance rate for RFUSM? is it around the average 1/3rd or is it lower?
 
Got put on pre-interview hold today. Better than a rejection, I suppose.

I submitted my secondary Aug 17 but haven't received a complete email I guess? Is this typical for others?

I submitted my secondary July 8th and was complete August 3rd. AMCAS had all of my letters before I submitted my secondary. I'd say your experience is probably typical.
 
FINALLY got the complete email today, submitted everything 8/10!

This happened to me (only available date I couldn't do, and then that one filled up today too)...it's a strange process...

You have to sign up for the interview waitlist, and then keep checking and when the next date becomes open, you have to take it (but they won't notify you when the next date is open it sounds like, so make sure to check). If you don't take the next open date, you lose your spot on the waitlist and you can't sign up again.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this, because it sounds a little bizarre to me, and I've been on the "interview waitlist" for awhile now with no new dates added yet so hopefully some show up soon.

That sounds unnecessarily stressful T_T

I'm guessing that they're anticipating a big drop of interviews after October 17th, when many people holding interviews may drop after an acceptance elsewhere. At least, that's my best guess besides delayed scheduling of new dates for why they would overinvite for the number of spots they have.

Yeah I'm hoping I'm misinterpreting the spot about losing your spot if you don't choose the next soonest date that appears, because it's been leading to some neurotic interview portal refreshing. Although I did reread the interview waitlist email over a few times to make sure I read it right.

Yeah I'm thinking some new dates will show up after the 17th too! I am guessing there will be movement at a lot of school after that date, will be interesting to see how things go!! And thanks @161MD 🙂

Sometimes I go into a weird blackout for a few minutes and find myself somehow at my email/school portal wondering how I got there.............the first step to getting help is admitting I have a problem right?!?!?!?! Right??

Just the interview "portal" to schedule - the reason I have to keep checking is because I had to sign up for the "interview date waitlist" and if a new date pops up and I don't take it, apparently I lose my spot to interview here 😕

Yes, but as long as you add yourself to the waitlist before your week is up, you are protected (I asked). But then, if you don't choose the first possible date they give, it's too bad and you get kicked off, or at least that's how the email stated it...
 
@Whyamionhere omg thank you!!! This is insane. Like I don't understand why they would give us all this trouble if they're inviting us in for an interview.

Yeah, I really really hope I'm misinterpreting the part about basically being booted out if you can't take the next spot! But I'm pretty sure my reading comprehension on the email was not bad.

Anyways, sorry for clogging up this thread with my struggles.

I just go into a daze and flip between my master spreadsheet and MSAR tabs.

... Like seriously, I do not need MSAR at this point in the cycle unless a new II comes in

513 MCAT, 3.9 masters gpa, lower ugpa
 
Just got a complete email after submitting my secondary application in early August...

I think I may have exaggerated how I felt afterwards.... Thinking back on it, it really was not that bad. Everyone is super nice and friendly. The tour is cool. The students in my panel were really cool. Couldn't have asked for a better interview day tbh.
 
Are they super behind this year? I was complete 8/3 and they said they'd have an update in 8-10 weeks later (which was yesterday). There was a followup email that said I was stil/25 l under consideration on 8/25 and that it could take another 4-6 weeks to hear anything (today marks 7 weeks).

Should I email/call? Am I being overly neurotic 9well, more so than usual I s? I hate not being able check my status...
