2016-2017 Rosalind Franklin University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've been looking at last year's thread as well but is it possible to even get accepted at this point in the cycle? I interviewed 1/13 and hopefully will hear back soon. I was just wondering if there's any hope to being accepted or if the best thing now is a waitlist.

Yes. Good luck!

If you interviewed, you can be accepted from now until May. If after that, expect a waitlist.

Anyone know if they are still sending out IIs? I called in last month and they said they are interviewing through end of April.

On their website they say they don't accept updates.... Is this not true?

I apologize for missing it if it was posted earlier, but is there an Accepted Students Facebook group?

I'm starting to look around at housing options and wanted to live with other people. I don't really know how to go about doing this other than on SDN or Facebook...

You and me have the same stats. How's this cycle going for you? If you don't mind me asking.

18 MD programs and 3 II so far. Two waitlists and I'm attending my third interview next month. No acceptances yet. We'll see what happens.

I really wish I applied to DO as well. That's probably my plan if nothing works out this cycle.
Best of luck I'm sure you'll get some good news soon!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Good luck to you, hopefully we will both be posting good news soon!

Not yet. I'll post if I see the group when it is posted!

I don't think it's too late to apply DO this cycle! I am not positive, but I had friends who applied extremely late last year (around this time) and got in.

Waitlisted. Interviewed 1/20.

Also waitlisted, interviewed 1/25. Pretty bummed about this one because I thought the interview went really well. LizzyM~70

Waitlisted, interviewed 1/13. Definitely bummed. Loved my day at the school

Tomorrow marks 6 weeks since my interview, hoping to here back this week. Anyone who interviewed 1/13 hear back?

I find it kind of strange that they are going to be sending out housing applications at Woodlands next week when they didn't even set up a Facebook page yet. On a side note, is anyone looking for a roommate?

I am! pm me!

@tantacles is it uncommon for students to live on campus? Is that considerably more expensive than off campus?

I wrote a post about housing a while ago. Search "navy" and posts made by "tantacles" to find it. I'd do it myself but I'm on my phone. Feel free to requote it here.

To answer the literal part of this question, it is common for students to live on campus, and equally common for them to live off campus. One bedroom pricing is comparable, but if you're planning on getting a two bedroom you can definitely do better, even at woodlands, which is literally right next to the campus.
