What is the expected turn around time (from II --> decisions) again? All the schools that I applied to are really starting to blur together... :thinking:

The email from adcoms said, "You can either sign up for that date, or add yourself to the waitlist within the interview tool. Should you be unable to make that date, you will forfeit your invitation and we will cancel your application. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!"

I didn't reply with any questions, as the explanation seemed pretty clear (and rigid!).

Oh sorry! That was my personal suggestion for what to do if you find yourself in that situation. They said they haven't had the situation come up yet and I believe that policy was in place last year too. We're still in the process of talking to them about that policy and if they can make it more lenient.

Make sure to write all these comments about pre/post-interview correspondences in your interview day survey because they really do look at that feedback.

Their update policy:

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any additional information, updates, corrections, or materials unless it includes Institutional Action, Felony, Misdemeanor or Military Discharge explanations. If you need to make any changes to your application they can only be made through AMCAS. Only AMCAS has the ability to make changes to your application, so please contact them directly at either [email protected] or call 202-828-0600. The only updates that the Chicago Medical School accepts are listed above. Any additional information or materials will be discarded.
 
Are there people who got IIs after their quoted response time? I'm nearing the end of my 8-10 weeks...
 
Posting again because no one replied to my question...

At the interview, how many weeks did they say it would be before hearing back from them regarding decisions? I remember them saying to check the spam folder, but I cannot remember the timeline for the life of me.

I believe they told us 4-6 weeks, but my turnaround was 3 weeks.
 
Is the turnaround faster if you submitted your secondary but it wasnt complete because you didnt have CASPer yet? I finished my secondary around 8/15 but added this school kinda late and forgot to update my CASPer to send to them. I think my score was sent around 10/15 or something like that.

Yeah, they said 4-6 weeks. I interviewed on the first interview date (9/15) and have yet to hear back. I'm getting kind of annoyed haha.

Yeah, that sucks. At least you have two other acceptances so the waiting game isn't as intense... unless RFU is your priority.

I just interviewed here last Friday. The interview is MMI format. We sign a confidentiality agreement, so we cannot tell you more than that.

When i called them few weeks ago, they said they already sent a first round of rejections. So I am assuming if you didn't get rejected the first round, you are still in the pool unless they just haven't reviewed your app yet.

If you can, Generally speaking here... Are MMIs only scenario based or do they get into details of ones application/motivations at a station?

I would suggest you focus on scenarios and be ready to bring in your personal motivations and understandings into the picture when appropriate. Strikes me as a way to leave the interviewer with an appreciation of your uniqueness as a candidate. No doubt your past experiences are a critical tool when navigating ethical challenges.
 
Kinda related but I haven't heard anything from RFU since my complete email - no invites to their DPT program or other advertisements. How likely is it that somehow my email from them is being filtered or lost? Would it be inappropriate to call and inquire?

I think it's completely acceptable to call inquiring about an application status update, unless they specifically say in their complete email that you should not do this.

30II could you imagine attending all those!?

I’m not even complaining either. I’m very fortunate and blessed to have one MD acceptance! I just really would love to hear from a Chicago School for personal reasons!

I didn't hear a peep since August until my II yesterday but I don't think it would hurt to call to make sure that everything is squared away with your app

Jumping on this thread, complete 8/3 and complete silence.
 
Sent in my application 8/11 and still haven't received a complete email... is this normal?
