Upperclassman here. Pro tip regarding an uber. If you need one, order a black uber to the nearby target, and then order a second normal uber once you are out of "North Chicago". Of course, I learned this after moving to Chicago, but wish I had known this earlier to save a couple bucks!

has anyone actually emailed them yet? I was thinking about doing it but wasn't sure if it would come off as nagging them or not

I actually emailed them a couple of weeks back and they responded that my application was still under review and they thanked me for my continued interest.

Yeah I know right. The problem is that I haven't even received an interview yet. I was complete early August and I'm approaching 6 months of silence, lol!
 
Rejected today post interview (interviewed in mid January). They said it'd take 4-6 weeks for a decision but I guess they knew pretty fast they didn't want me lol. good luck y'all

i just emailed them and received the exact same response back from them. oh well. it was worth a try
 
HI all I have an interview on Friday, and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a good hotel around the area. Most good rates seem already filled. Was going to stay downtown, but it seems that a winter storm is arriving!!

Sleep inn. Stay in Waukegan
 
Looks like is gonna be really snowy on Friday. How is everyone getting to Chicago?
 
If you guys run into any issues traveling here to interview tomorrow, be sure to let Admissions know ASAP! Not sure how bad this storm will be since they always hype them up, but just in case.

I remember the admissions guy telling us that they only accept "bad" updates like criminal records, failed courses, IAs, etc. Otherwise, no updates allowed.

I wouldn't suggest staying in downtown (I think you mean Chicago, right?) because that's like an hour away. Waukegan has some affordable options, but you'll need a car to get to any of them.
 
Anyone have thoughts on how casual the dress is for Student Visit Day? Like jeans casual?
 
Got an interview for March 1st here but debating whether I should go. They've been doing a lot of waitlists recently, so do you guys think it's worth going?

If you have other options and would not attend here over those, then you'd make another applicant really happy to give up your slot... Not to say that you shouldn't go if RF is still one of your top choices. Didn't last year's thread show a decent amount of WL movement?

It really doesn't matter what you wear, you already got in. 😛 That being said, ASVD is cancelled for this Saturday because of the weather. The next one is April 7th!

They don't interview for the waitlist, so don't worry about that. Like jazzmetal said, it depends on what other acceptances you have.
 
Has anyone flat out asked admissions why seemingly 0 acceptances have gone out since October 27th interviews...
