I had some time so I figured out what the remainder of the cycle for CCOM will be like. Please correct me if any of this seems off!
Pre II:
Unless you’re given an II very soon, it looks like the cycle may be coming to a close. Last year, the pre-II rejections were sent out the 4th Tuesday in January (1/24/17), which would be the 23rd of January this year.
Post II:
Looks like there are two real options for us now, either get accepted in the next 2-3 weeks of rolling admissions or be placed in the final pool. Final pool notifications go out typically the 3rd Wednesday or Thursday in January (last year was 1/19/17), which would put it to be 1/17 or 1/18 this year.
Typically final pool decisions are made on a Tuesday or Wednesday before March 15th, last year they were made on 3/8/17, so likely this year they would be around March 6th or 7th. The potential outcomes:
1) Accepted: This can be identified by the Rural tab on the portal popping up on the application portal
2) Denial
3) Waitlist: There are separate waitlists for both IS and OOS applicants. The IS is 50 people long and OOS is 100 spots long. OOS waitlist spots seem to be strange in how many end up matriculating to CCOM since it has been as low as 4 and as high as 90 in years past. IS is a little more consistent, here’s the past few years:
2016- 19 spots
2015 - 31 spots
2014 - 24 spots
2013 - 28 spots
2012 - 31 spots
2011 - 24 spots
Hopefully this helps someone else! Good luck to everyone!
